Golf is Played Monday and Tuesday Since we last played January 24th, we have had a couple of committee meetings to discuss golf (and other stuff) patiently waiting for conditions allowable for play. We may see a 3-club challenge or something along those lines just to shake things up before regular play starts in the spring. Jeff brags that he has been getting his golf in down south. Notice that you can't see where each one of these guys has their other hand? Hmm..  Monday Results Bob had to wait 2 weeks before he could go for his 3rd straight CTP and to his surprise, the pin was still in the same spot. He came through with a right at the pin effort, only to see it settle inches outside of a nice shot by Butch, ending his quest for the Floyd. The 2-week layoff didn't seem to hinder most of today's 15 players, as an average score today was close to even. Gary takes Medalist honors with +6 followed by a +3 from Raymond. Glen and Raymond's 32 were tops in points. Butch...

Friday Lunch, February Arrives, January Review and whatever else comes to mind while I sit here. Although the cart shed is damaged, Scott's Championship parking spot under the tree has been spared. Unless a minor miracle allows us to play golf Friday, plan on another special committee meeting at 11:30 in our happy place, Kimbeland CC.  February has arrived in its usual fashion. This is my 3rd year of tracking our little groups golfing exploits and February has been by far the least cooperative month for allowing us to get on the course. In both 21 and 22 we only got 4 days of play in for the whole month. Ice that stubbornly refuses to melt has been the main cause those 2 years and starts the same this year. My eternal golfing optimism, however, tells me that in one good week we can get 4 days in and possibly add more before the month ends. Hang in until then. January Review Even though we had no play the last week of January, we still got 11 rounds in for the month. That was 1 bett...

Monday, Tuesday Results plus 'Floyd Alert' This is the only way Doc can play 18 while he is recovering from his hand and eye surgeries. Still wearing his BB's hat. Well done, Doc! Monday Play At first glance, the scoring looked tough as the group of 14 finished at a -18. A closer look shows that if you eliminate the -23 of Randy, Rick, and KeyZ, the other 11 players were +5.  Bob wins his first CTP of the season. His +3 earns him Co-Medalist with Scott, although it doesn't help either of their teams win. Mikey's +2 leads Glen and Gary to victory on Front and Total. John's team pulls it together enough to claim the Back 9 with the help of his 16 points. Tuesday-Floyd Alert Be sure to come out next playable day to protect the Floyd. The above statement can only mean that Bob has done it again. This time he stuck it in to a nice 2 feet or so. Our first back-to-back CTP winner of 2023. All hands on deck for our next outing. Hopefully the pin will be changed to thro...

Outta Sight! A game of 3 on 3 Friday, a day that deserved a few more players. Very playable conditions. Hope to see a few more out Monday as it looks like a tough week ahead. Play when we have a chance I say. Tom continued his strong January play with most points, Medalist, and his 3rd CTP of the new year.

Tuesday Results Plus Florida Report From Jeff As I write this, I looked out the window and the animals seemed to be pairing up. So, to help us forget about the rain for a few minutes, Heeeerrres Jeff! Jeff wears his Bud's Boys colors in sunny Ft. Lauderdale Let's be clear that when Jeff reports on a pair of boobs, he is not talking about the 2 of our boys who played Monday in the rain, wind, and cold. (We will not name names, but they do like to gather at the trees.) Of course, Jeff  means.... He got to spend a little time recently in this establishment well known for its tasty dishes. Apparently, he got this picture snapped just before they escorted him out. We hope to hear more from Jeff during his southern stay. Tuesday Action Thirteen BB's report for duty on a beautiful sunny and mild Un-January like day. And now........ Team 1 Randy      29 points -2 Raymond 28 points -3 Gary         23 points +3 Team       -4...
