This Week in Bud's Boys Golf Only a two-day week with weather and outings to deal with. Let's start with the Match play tournament. As Leroy walked up the ramp to the clubhouse after Tuesday's round while puffing on a cigar, I suspected he had won his match with KZ. He did.    This makes Leroy the winner of the East Bracket, putting him in the Final Match against the winner of the West Bracket. Wayne, Rick, and Jeff will try to sort that out this coming week. Tuesday August 18 Glen breaks a 4-game losing streak by leading his team to a FBT sweep with his double jump +6. The side games go to Dave for his CTP and Random Skin to Bill F with his birdie on #12. Thursday August 20 When our last group finished on Thursday with their team score of -7, -9, -16, they were grateful that Westy had won the CTP for them figuring that was their only chance in Hades of winning anything at all.  This Week in Bud's Boys Tuesday 8/11 Scoring nearly as high as the temperature as we had 2 double jumpers along with a +5 and a pair of +4's. Bill H and KZ are the +6's and their team wins the Back 9 and the Total. Rick wins the CTP and his team also takes the Front 9 for 2 victories. Doc's birdie on #15 wins the Skin. In Match Play, Roger took out Butch, KZ eliminated Floyd, Leroy outlasted Dave, and Doc moves on with a win over Don. Weds 8/12 Big turnout for today's Card Game as 19 BB's were in attendance on a day where some outstanding performances were attained.  Tom's 8-birdie 41 points tops the list as he shoots a 5-under 67.  Dave double jumps with a Medalist best +8. His team wins the Front 9 and Total. Randy earns 6 cards by hitting every par 3 with birdies on 4 & 6 helping his team to the best hand in the Card Game. Ray claims his 4th CTP of the year. As I prepare for a 1:30 tee time today in the worst conditions yet in a most miserable week, I will save BB's week in review until tomorrow if I do indeed survive today. Cross your fingers that Shelly and I, along with Tom, Jeff, Ron, and their partners, get through this second day of the Jacks and Jennies tournament. Doc will fill in today's content with a little something he wrote up this weekend. 

Bud's Boys August Report Only two days to review so I will throw in a golf story and an unrelated tale from my small town. Tuesday August 4 First round in August brought out 22 BB's anxious to play. This also was the first day of Match Play so I will give those results first. In the battle of the Bill's, H eliminates F to move on to play Jeff. Rick uses 16 holes to end Randy's tournament. Rick will challenge Tom tomorrow. In regular play, Tom's 37 points do not help his team score to victory, but his birdie on #7 does win the Random Skin. Rick earns his 2nd CTP for his team, getting their money back for the day. Doc and his 3 visitors sweep the FBT. Kim M is Medalist at +5 while Doc throws in a +4. After the round, the gracious Bingo winners (minus Shelly and Dave) treated the group to drinks and food.  August is here! As I am typing this on Sunday August 2, it is 70 degrees with a 12 mph NNW wind. Reminds me of golfing in Montana a few years back. Fear not, the heat will return.
