Bud's Boys Post Election Review Election news, Friday results, and my Veterans Day submission of 2024. Also a rumor of Jeff bringing chili tomorrow. Election 2024 It was a long and sometime contentious process, but the election results are finally in. The people have spoken, and in large numbers.  Leroy has been re-elected to another term as BB's Sergeant-at-Arms. His brief post-election statement included getting the group back on track, getting even with his enemies, and endeavoring to bring down beer prices. We all wish him good luck and assure him that he has our full support!  Friday Results Scott, Leroy, and John sweep the FBT and snare the Rabbit. Scott wins another Medal with a double-jump +7. Leroy chips in a +4 and John a +2 for a total team effort. Doc prevents the Royal Flush by earning his 10th CTP of the season. Glen shoots a strong +5 in a losing effort. Veterans Day 2024 As always, I express huge thanks to all veterans and am pleased to be friends with those in...

Today was like a current day youth league event. Everyone won a trophy, or money in this case. Randy wins the Medal (+3) on Medalist Thursday, Glen wins the CTP and his teammates KZ and Jeff each shoot a +2 to also win Front and Total. The foursome bringing up the rear won the Back 9 to ensure victory for all.

Doc did not play today so I'll just post some pictures of some previous Bud's Boys. Wednesday Card Game Mikey, Roger, and John fire an opening 9 score of +10 to trounce the field, coast through the Back 9 but hold on to win the Total as well. Glen's game comes out of hibernation to score a more typical round of even par 36 points. The +9 Medalist scored 21 of those points on the Back 9 to lead team to win that event. Scott turns 3 sixes to win the Card Game and make Butch a winner once more.

November Notes, Names, and Numbers A look back at the week's play and an October review but first a note on Monday play. Monday Golf is Back According to Doc, Monday golf is available starting tomorrow. I know our group will take advantage of this, but maybe not till next week. It seems all of us who played Friday have other things going this particular Monday, so I am not sure if anyone will show. You can always show up and see. Tuesday is election day so if you are running late just give someone a head's up and we will put you in. Tuesday 10/29 Randy is Medalist with a +5 and with help from KZ (+3), Raymond (+2), and Butch (coaching, cheering), they sweep the FBT. Randy's birdie on 17 also wins the Random Skin. Glen claims his 4th CTP in October to prevent the Royal Flush. Weds 10/30 Tough scoring on Halloween eve as all 4 teams finished in the minus category. Tom and Butch tie for Medalist honors with plus 2 and they win the Back and Total despite Jeff's -5. Bob wins...

BB's What's Up Illustrated Sunday Edition October is coming to a close and today's issue recaps Friday's golf, gives a new BB's tip of the week and a special spread of Fall's colors as only captured by Doc. Rabbit Friday  The number 21 can win you a lot of money at the Blackjack table and, as it turns out, can win you a nice chunk of change in BB's world. The teams were drawn in the usual fashion Friday, but one of those statistical oddities popped up immediately. As the team of Scott, KZ, and Butch gathered to set up their scorecard info, they realized that they all shared the same handicap # of 21. This did not bode well for the rest of the teams. Sure enough, KZ came through with a splendid +3 for a solid score. It, however, was no match for Butch who posted a double jump +6, always a very special mark. But wait, Butch's +6 paled in comparison to Scott's Medalist best +9, handily giving the threesome the FBT sweep. Scott was not finished with his ...
