BB's What's Up Illustrated Sunday Edition

October is coming to a close and today's issue recaps Friday's golf, gives a new BB's tip of the week and a special spread of Fall's colors as only captured by Doc.

Rabbit Friday 

The number 21 can win you a lot of money at the Blackjack table and, as it turns out, can win you a nice chunk of change in BB's world.


The teams were drawn in the usual fashion Friday, but one of those statistical oddities popped up immediately. As the team of Scott, KZ, and Butch gathered to set up their scorecard info, they realized that they all shared the same handicap # of 21. This did not bode well for the rest of the teams.

Sure enough, KZ came through with a splendid +3 for a solid score. It, however, was no match for Butch who posted a double jump +6, always a very special mark.

But wait, Butch's +6 paled in comparison to Scott's Medalist best +9, handily giving the threesome the FBT sweep. Scott was not finished with his accomplishments, however, as he caught the Rabbit with his birdie on #10 giving the trio 4 of today's events.

We asked Scott how he was able to attain such a hard-to-reach number. "Actually, plus nine isn't that tough. I have done that many times, I suspect. What I can tell you that is hard to do though is to reach +9 when Butch is trying to take you down. That takes some real focus."

Can't argue with that.

Tom earns his 21st CTP to prevent the Royal Flush. 


By the way, Club 21 disbanded after the round. Butch and Scott are looking for another 23 however.

    Another outstanding job of reporting Randy!! Some outstanding pictures Doc🤩. I looked at that photo of Butch…I didn’t know Butch was left handed 😂. Deano

  Happy Mother's Day to everyone. I trust we are all treating the mothers in our lives like the queens they deserve to be treated. Hard to believe my own has been gone 41 years, but the 27 I lived with her are still as vivid as can be. Today might be Mother's Day, but Friday was certainly Mudder's Day. A seven-day layoff for BB's as our course was recovering from the deluge of constant rain. Though most of the course was okay, many swings today produced a spray of mud and water. The layoff combined with the conditions made plus golf a challenge. Tom's Medalist best +5 and Shelly's +3 were the only scores that moved their hcp# upward. No team finished plus in any of the FBT categories. Butch wins the CTP and Doc turns 2-pair in the Card Game to give their team 2 events today despite having the worst score of the 4 teams. St. Pat's Day Sunday 3/17

  Happy St Patrick's Day everyone. Today's edition has the final results from Thursday and Friday's rather small turnouts. But first, something new we are trying.  Many of you know today is the day the NCAA Tournament is revealed, and everyone starts filling out their brackets. Well, forget Kentucky and Kansas or Purdue or whoever! The real March Madness will take place at Kimbeland CC. Read on and fill out your bracket. The person who best predicts the outcome of all the matches will get some yet undetermined special prize, fitting the magnitude of such an event. Here are the participants and their region. In the Allen Hill Regional, Allen himself will square off with Randy. The winner will face the survivor of the Glen vs. KZ matchup. In the Andy McIntosh Regional, Doc and Jeff will meet, with the winner playing either Raymond or Leroy for the regional final. The Bud Marshall Regional has Scott and Roger facing off with the winner going up against the Bob vs. Tom match. T

 Bud's Boys Count Your Blessings Issue Everyday should be a 'CYB' day but some days you realize it a little more. More on that later. Halloween is coming soon, and we have the Coors golfer haunting our course. Friday Rabbit Chase The greens were fast and furious once more and the total group score of minus 24 reflected as much. Kudos to Doc (+4) and Dean (+3) for shooting on the plus side of their handicap numbers in the tough conditions. Special shout out to Glen and Butch for breaking their streaks of minus golf with a +3 for Butch and a Medalist best +5 for Glen. Butch jarred his birdie putt on hole #9 to catch the Rabbit.
