November Notes, Names, and Numbers

A look back at the week's play and an October review but first a note on Monday play.

Monday Golf is Back

According to Doc, Monday golf is available starting tomorrow. I know our group will take advantage of this, but maybe not till next week. It seems all of us who played Friday have other things going this particular Monday, so I am not sure if anyone will show. You can always show up and see.

Tuesday is election day so if you are running late just give someone a head's up and we will put you in.

Tuesday 10/29

Randy is Medalist with a +5 and with help from KZ (+3), Raymond (+2), and Butch (coaching, cheering), they sweep the FBT. Randy's birdie on 17 also wins the Random Skin.

Glen claims his 4th CTP in October to prevent the Royal Flush.

Weds 10/30

Tough scoring on Halloween eve as all 4 teams finished in the minus category. Tom and Butch tie for Medalist honors with plus 2 and they win the Back and Total despite Jeff's -5.

Bob wins the CTP and Raymond's trip 6's win the card game.

Friday November 1

Another tough scoring day as only John (+3 Medalist) and Shelly (+2) could top their hcp #. That did not deter a good time by all, however, as we celebrated Raymond's big 69. Not his score, but his age.

Raymond invented his own game for today in addition to our regular game of course. Each team had to meet a challenge on each hole to better their chances of winning. Not nearly as intimidating as it appears, it was a fun additive we hope to revisit sometime. Here is the custom-made scorecard.

In the regular game, Jeff's CTP added to the Back and Total victories for his team. Glen's birdie on 39 wins the Regular Rabbit.

In the birthday game, the Challenge Rabbit reached the 12th hole when the team of Tom, Glen, Leroy, and Clint were the only team to meet the requisite 3 balls on the green to win the challenge.

Scott (#4), Glen (#6), KZ (#8), and John (#12) win the birthday CTP's.

October Review

26 different BB's played 211 rounds on the 18 days we were able to play. Attendance down slightly at nearly 12 per day.

15 of the 26 golfers saw their number drop during the month while 9 went up and 2 remained the same.

Glen had 4 CTP's for the month. Tom (3) and Dean (2) were the only other multiple winners.

Scott earned 3 Medals for October with 5 others managed 2.

In the important 'Money' category, Tom was clearly the leader. His team won money in 12 of the 13 rounds he played in October bringing in a whopping $113. KZ collected $71 and Scott $67. They generously purchased a few buckets to share their good fortune. Leroy and Floyd checked in next at $59. We won't see a bucket from Floyd till next spring as he is already in Florida. Luckily, it is Leroy's turn to buy on Tuesday.

Doc will return this week.
