This Week in Bud's Boys
Tuesday 8/11
Scoring nearly as high as the temperature as we had 2 double jumpers along with a +5 and a pair of +4's.
Bill H and KZ are the +6's and their team wins the Back 9 and the Total.
Rick wins the CTP and his team also takes the Front 9 for 2 victories.
Doc's birdie on #15 wins the Skin.
In Match Play, Roger took out Butch, KZ eliminated Floyd, Leroy outlasted Dave, and Doc moves on with a win over Don.
Weds 8/12
Big turnout for today's Card Game as 19 BB's were in attendance on a day where some outstanding performances were attained.
Tom's 8-birdie 41 points tops the list as he shoots a 5-under 67.
Dave double jumps with a Medalist best +8. His team wins the Front 9 and Total.
Randy earns 6 cards by hitting every par 3 with birdies on 4 & 6 helping his team to the best hand in the Card Game.
Ray claims his 4th CTP of the year.
In Match Play, Wayne wins in a scorecard playoff over Clint, Leroy dusts off Roger, and Jeff overcomes Doc's intimidation tactics to move to the next round.
Thursday 8/13
KZ celebrates his 80th birthday by being part of 3-event winning team.
Tom shoots a 3-under par 69, good for 39 points and Medalist Honors.
Wayne chalks up his 7th CTP.
Butch wins the $10 Bonus CTP on #8 in honor of KZ's 8 decades and is already looking for a new club to spend it on.
Friday 8/14
As the unrelenting heat wave continues, we were down to 9 brave golfers on Rabbit Day Friday.
Jeff is the only BB to move up as his +4 tops the field. His birdie on #9 snares the Rabbit as he, KZ and Ray also sweep the FBT.
Clint prevents the Royal Flush with his 8th CTP.
All the BB's who competed in this weekend's J & J tourney survived the 2 days though no one managed a big pay day.
Two teams did combine to win $650 in E Flight, however. They both shot 80 on Saturday but somehow were able to score 69 and 72 on Sunday to easily take 1st and 2nd. I am sure nobody reading this would have a clue as to who those 2 teams would be. It seems I have written this same story for over 20 years now.
