Bud's Boys Champion Golfer of the Year Tourney Thurs 9/26 Fri 9/27  To accommodate the Semo Seniors who are playing at Kennett on the 25th, we are pushing the start back one day. The more the merrier as they say. Handicaps are the average of the 5 Thursdays we played in August. They will be posted soon. Tuesday Random Skin Day The Boys had to play the Front 9 twice today while the Back 9 had its fall maintenance. Leroy runs his win streak to 7 with a Medal Best score of +6. Teammate known only as Mr. 59 added a +3 to win the Back 9 and earn a tie for the Total. Mr. 59's birdie on our 18th hole of the day wins the Random Skin for 2 1/2 of the day's events. Raymond continues his rock-solid play of late (he even carded a couple of birdies) with 34 points to lead his team to the Front 9 victory and half of the Total. Keith finally gets his first CTP of 2024 to put his team on the board. Bill sticks his tee shot on #4 to a couple of feet. I will let him tell you if he holed the

BB's Golf Street Journal Hectic week with many of the Boys at Crown Point Weds and Thurs (much more on that soon) and Kimbeland Senior Club Championship Saturday and Sunday. Here are the box scores from Tuesday through Thursday and a little wrap up of the Kimbeland Championship. Enjoy Doc's pictures of Colorado and thanks for the rain. Tuesday 9/10 Three-way tie for Medalist at +3. Glen and Rick were 2 of those 3 and their team wins Back 9 and Total and ties for the Front 9. Teammate Tom's birdie on 15 also gives them the Random Skin. Clint wins the CTP. Weds 9/11 Jeff is today's Medalist, and his team wins the Back 9 and Total. Teammate Tom wins his 16th CTP, and they win the Card Game to take 4 of today's 5 events. Raymond returns from a nearly 1-month layoff. Thursday 9/12 We changed up things a bit by going with four 2-man teams for Medalist Thursday. KZ easily wins the Medal with a big +8. Jeff holds him back enough that they only win the Front. He does, howev

Tee Times Tuesday Start 9:18  Due to a snag in the tee time process, we begin Tuesday at 9:18 so set your alarms a little earlier. This is a one-time thing, do not be concerned. The rest of the week are normal times. Be ready to go as we only have 4 slots so we need to move it quickly in case we need to slide an extra group in. Please text me if you are running late. Wednesday Card Game September temperatures have started cool, but the golf has been hot. All 4 teams shoot plus golf and earn a total of 40 cards for the card game. Brandon scores 34 points in posting a co-Medalist best +8. Unfortunately for Brandon, his efforts go unrewarded. Bob is the other co-Medalist. His +8 leads his team to a +7 +8 +15 FBT. Normally these numbers would easily sweep the field, but not on this day. It is good only for a tie on the Back 9. The last group to come in crushed the hopes of the other teams with a +8 +8 +16 scorecard to earn 2 and a half of those 3 events. Doc's double jump score of an e

Tee Time Alert I will have several reminders, but next Tuesday (Sept 10) our Tee Time will be 9:20ish. Set your alarms a little earlier. Tuesday Sept 3 The first playing day in September saw 15 BB's participate in perfect weather conditions. Scoring reflected the mild conditions with 4 of the 5 teams finishing on the plus side of the ledger. Good news in that Roger comes off the injured list to join the action for the first time since July 10. Teammates Dennis and Leroy both card a double-jump +6 to share Medalist honors and easily sweep the FBT. Tom stretches his lead with another CTP. Randy's birdie on 1 wins the Skin.

Bud's Boys Weekly Bugle The sun has set on the month of August. We will discuss the 4 days of play this week followed by a close look at the August results and a few of the yearly numbers. But first this important message. 2024 Champion Golfer of the Year The big tournament is coming up this month. We have chosen Wednesday and Thursday Sept 25 and 26. We need you to commit to those 2 days by signing up for the Tourney. This is very important as we must make tee times for the correct number of golfers as last year was a crowded field. I will have the sign-up sheet with me this week. We also need to let Scott get your correct handicap ready in time. Please do not wait too long to make your decision. More details in future posts. Tuesday 8/27 Nice turn out of 15 BB's on the first day of the last week in August. Unfortunately for a dozen of those players, they leave the course without any winnings. Although we do not keep official records, a couple of marks today are surely at or n
