Bud's Boys Champion Golfer of the Year Tourney Thurs 9/26 Fri 9/27 



To accommodate the Semo Seniors who are playing at Kennett on the 25th, we are pushing the start back one day. The more the merrier as they say.

Handicaps are the average of the 5 Thursdays we played in August. They will be posted soon.

Tuesday Random Skin Day


The Boys had to play the Front 9 twice today while the Back 9 had its fall maintenance.




Leroy runs his win streak to 7 with a Medal Best score of +6. Teammate known only as Mr. 59 added a +3 to win the Back 9 and earn a tie for the Total. Mr. 59's birdie on our 18th hole of the day wins the Random Skin for 2 1/2 of the day's events.





Raymond continues his rock-solid play of late (he even carded a couple of birdies) with 34 points to lead his team to the Front 9 victory and half of the Total.

Keith finally gets his first CTP of 2024 to put his team on the board.



Bill sticks his tee shot on #4 to a couple of feet. I will let him tell you if he holed the putt.



Playing in the last group provides opportunity for a lot of self-reflection and patience.

I posted yesterday that KCC's Senior results were posted on the Kimbeland website, and they were, but not for long. Here are the results if anyone is interested.

Mother's Day 5/12

  Happy Mother's Day to everyone. I trust we are all treating the mothers in our lives like the queens they deserve to be treated. Hard to believe my own has been gone 41 years, but the 27 I lived with her are still as vivid as can be. Today might be Mother's Day, but Friday was certainly Mudder's Day. A seven-day layoff for BB's as our course was recovering from the deluge of constant rain. Though most of the course was okay, many swings today produced a spray of mud and water. The layoff combined with the conditions made plus golf a challenge. Tom's Medalist best +5 and Shelly's +3 were the only scores that moved their hcp# upward. No team finished plus in any of the FBT categories. Butch wins the CTP and Doc turns 2-pair in the Card Game to give their team 2 events today despite having the worst score of the 4 teams. St. Pat's Day Sunday 3/17

  Happy St Patrick's Day everyone. Today's edition has the final results from Thursday and Friday's rather small turnouts. But first, something new we are trying.  Many of you know today is the day the NCAA Tournament is revealed, and everyone starts filling out their brackets. Well, forget Kentucky and Kansas or Purdue or whoever! The real March Madness will take place at Kimbeland CC. Read on and fill out your bracket. The person who best predicts the outcome of all the matches will get some yet undetermined special prize, fitting the magnitude of such an event. Here are the participants and their region. In the Allen Hill Regional, Allen himself will square off with Randy. The winner will face the survivor of the Glen vs. KZ matchup. In the Andy McIntosh Regional, Doc and Jeff will meet, with the winner playing either Raymond or Leroy for the regional final. The Bud Marshall Regional has Scott and Roger facing off with the winner going up against the Bob vs. Tom match. T

Champion Golfer Full Coverage

Champion Golfer of the Year Raymond had to be on his game to win, as there were several great rounds turned in over the two days of play. Let's start at the beginning as we go step by step through the stages of the tournament. Thursday, Day 1 Twenty-four Bud's Boys teed off in hopes of taking home the big trophy. The weather was 40 degrees warmer than day 1 last year. The scores reflected the great conditions as half the field finished in the plus column. Butch leads at +7, 1-up on Raymond, Clint, and Floyd.
