Bud's Boys Weekend Wrap Tuesday August 20 What do the numbers 17, 68, 78, 9, 140, 6, and .055 have in common?  Answer: They all play a part in today's Random Skin round of BB's golf. Let me try to dissect the above 'random numbers'. A total of '17' BB's arrived with invitations to today's birthday party. The 68 and 78 are easy as we acknowledge the birthdays of Rick and KZ. To celebrate their new respective ages, extra contests were held on holes 6,7, and 8. Tom claimed the CTP on hole #6 for his team and Floyd kept his team from a total loss on the day by claiming the CTP on #8. Doc, Miles, Leroy, and Jeff claimed the best scoring average on hole #7. This just added to their regular winnings when they romped to victory on the Front 9 with a blazing +11 1/2 and a Total of +8. Doc's 9th CTP topped off their big pile of cash. Tom, Gerald, and Rodney claimed the rest of the prize money by winning the Back 9 and the Random Skin, which brings in the r

Please Pray for fellow Bud's Boy Gerald Brown. His longtime friend Clint has just informed me that Gerald suffered a massive heart attack today and is in an induced coma. I have no other details but will share anything I hear.

Bud's Boys Sunday Chronicle Tuesday Reminder! Extra Birthday Events, Wear Yellow! Tuesday does look like a great day to play and have some fun. You do not want to hear all the stories second hand so just be there instead. Tuesday's event is a good time to remind us of a good message sent to me by Rick that I would like to share. Another group related note to pass along. Seems I have been informed by a couple of people outside of our group that some of our frustrations have been too loud and carried over the course. Our expressive passion is not so appreciated by fellow members. Let's put a little effort to not be 'those guys' to the rest of the membership. Wednesday Action Card Game Day brought out some high scoring. A team score of plus 6 was only good for 4th place on this day. The group finished with a total score of +29. Brian led the assault with a Medalist best +6. Teamed with Butch's +4, this gives them the Back 9 and Total. The third member of this rathe

Beanie-KZ Birthday Bash Next Tuesday (Aug 20) Mark your calendars for next Tuesday if you want to participate in the sure to be fun activities (see above picture) in honor of Rick and KZ. Special games including a hole-in-one prize that you don't want to miss. Details as we near the date. Tuesday Golf An optimistic group of 18 BB's lined up on the first tee to vie for the big pay day. Some hopes were dashed sooner than others, but competition was tight, especially on the Back 9 where 4 teams were separated by only 1 and a half points. Newcomer Paul was introduced to the group as a guest player today and he teamed with Clint, Allen, and KZ to win the Front 9 and the Total. Tom's 12th CTP of the season and Randy's birdie on #5 to claim the Skin gives their team 2 events. Raymond, Gerald, and Brian 'bring your raincoat' Nugent win that hotly contested Back 9 for the last event. Glen was today's Medalist as his 37 points placed him at +6.

Bud's Boys Sunday Gazette Results from Thursday and Friday plus the conclusion of the hole-by-hole comparison for the month of July. First bit of news is about Thursday tee times. Looks like we will be teeing off at 9:58 on Thursdays until the Ladies Thursday Morning League wraps up next month. We will keep you posted. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday remain at 9:42. Thursday August 8 Results Leroy wins his 10th Medal of the year (and 3rd on Thursday when it actually pays) with a +6 to lead his team to victories on the Front 9 and Total. Tom wins his 11th CTP, tops for the season thus far. Friday August 9 Scott has a day to remember as his Medalist best +6 paves the way for a FBT sweep for his team. His 3 birdies are also enough to snare the Friday Rabbit. At his post round press conference, he thanked Rodney for "Getting me around the course in one piece, although there were some doubtful moments along the way." Shelly wins the CTP to prevent the Royal Flush. Hole by Hole

Bud's Boys Weekend Edition A lot of numbers in today's blog including July Review and hole by hole stats for the 13 days played this month. We start, however, with play from Friday. Friday August 2 Another day of sparse attendance with 9 BB's teeing off today. At least the weather backed off from the sweltering heat we had the last few days. Allen was the MVP of today's round.  He was Medalist with a double-jump +7 leading his team to a runaway sweep for the FBT. Oh yeah, he also takes the CTP on the last tee shot of the day.  Scott's birdie on #11 ends an overtime Rabbit chase, preventing a clean sweep from Allen, Bob, and Butch. Scott and Butch compare mustard stains from Leroy's breakfast sandwich mishap. July Review Before I get into the numbers, I would like to pass on this note from Doc in regard to his brother-in-law Lyle. We played 13 days in July with 27 different BB's participating. We played 172 rounds for an average of 13 per day. Of the 27, 14 s
