Bud's Boys Sunday Chronicle

Tuesday Reminder! Extra Birthday Events, Wear Yellow!

Tuesday does look like a great day to play and have some fun. You do not want to hear all the stories second hand so just be there instead.

Tuesday's event is a good time to remind us of a good message sent to me by Rick that I would like to share.

Another group related note to pass along. Seems I have been informed by a couple of people outside of our group that some of our frustrations have been too loud and carried over the course. Our expressive passion is not so appreciated by fellow members. Let's put a little effort to not be 'those guys' to the rest of the membership.

Wednesday Action

Card Game Day brought out some high scoring. A team score of plus 6 was only good for 4th place on this day. The group finished with a total score of +29.

Brian led the assault with a Medalist best +6. Teamed with Butch's +4, this gives them the Back 9 and Total. The third member of this rather shady looking group was Leroy who tossed in his 3rd CTP of the year making them the big winners on the day.

Randy, Scott, and Mikey front loaded their scoring taking the Front 9 with a +7 1/2 and earned enough cards to allow Scott to turn over a full house to win that event.

After the round our Bingo Champions were presented the spoils of victory.

Being the good sports that they are, they shared their winnings by doling out drinks and munchies to the undeserving but appreciative losers.

This is a digitally altered version of Gerald's response when questioned about his contribution to his team's victory. Not sure what the question was but I think his response was "I'm number 1".

Thursday Play

Another day of honor roll type scoring.

An eagle on 1 followed by birdies on 2 & 3 jump starts Glen to a game high 40 points (and Thursday Medalist +7).

Tom finishes with a 2-under par 38 points and Doc hits even par with his 36.

Glen reached 21 points on the Front 9 and Tom 20. Randy reached 20 points on the Back 9.

Jeff wins his 3rd CTP in August.

Glen, Doc, Scott, and Val must have set a record for most points after 4 holes. I find it unlikely that any team has reached 36 points before after walking off the 4th green.

Doc celebrates his career long drive on #7.

Friday Scores

As high as the scores were on Wednesday and Thursday, Friday's scores plummeted as much as the temperature rose. No coincidence in my book.

Our normal steamy hot August returned on Friday and only Mikey and Butch could withstand Mother Nature's wrath with the only plus scores (modest +2's) out of the 13 BB's in action.

Mikey also won the CTP and he and Tom and Miles birdied 1,2,3,5,7, and 9 on Rabbit Day to catch, skin, and barbecue the thing before the Front 9 was even over.
