Bud's Boys Weekend Wrap Up July is wrapping up, Bingo should be finished this week, Doc comes up short of the Floyd for the second time this month and Roger has an unexpected Colorado experience.  Here is the latest. Thursday July 25 Relief from the heat gave us a great July day for golf. KZ (+4) edges Butch (+3) and Glen (+3) to claim Medalist Honors on Medalist Thursday. KZ, Glen, and Marty (+2) are the only team to finish plus on either side and easily sweep the FBT. Glen's streak at 14. Scott wins the CTP to prevent the Royal Flush. Doc went against normal protocol and played in the first group in his attempt to capture the 'Floyd'. He had to get to a Barry Manilow concert in St. Louis, thus the early tee time. His tee shot on 18 had the distance but not the direction, ending up in the fringe and eliminating his chance for fame. Seems the news spread to Barry and he dedicated a song, 'The One That Got Away' to Doc during the concert. Leroy allowed us no warn

(Doc's) Search for Tomorrow (for a Floyd)! The Edge of Bingo! Bud's Boys has entered their Soap Opera phase as it is indeed, 'The Days of our Lives'. Doc is on a heater by winning his 2nd consecutive CTP and 4th in his last 5 attempts. For the second time this month he will attempt to join Floyd and Butch as the only 3-in-a-row winners. Come out and protect the Floyd! Raymond's birdie on 17 Wednesday leaves his team with only 1 hole left (16) in the Bingo Game. Butch, after watching his so-called Captains gag again, becomes 'The Guiding Light' for the White Team by knocking off hole #2 leaving them with 3. The Red Team ('The Old and the Restless') still have 5 to go.  Tuesday July 23 Allen is the day's Medalist with a +4. Sidekick Leroy's +2 gives their team Front and Total. Doc wins the CTP, his team the Back 9. Glen extends his winning streak to 12 with his birdie on 13 being the Random Skin. Wednesday July 24 Medalist Leroy (+6) double jum

The rain eventually won out on Tuesday and Wednesday as several holes were played both days before the group surrendered to the elements. Thursday, however, greeted BB's with lower temps and great conditions for the fifteen golfers present for Medalist Day.  Tom's 1-under par 37 points leads his team to a FBT sweep. Randy wins the CTP. The chase for Medalist resulted in a first time ever 5-way tie. Leroy, Dean, Tom, Bob, and Bill all finished 1 point short of the double jump +6. (I'm sure no one laid off at the end.) It was agreed to break the tie in typical BB's fashion, by cutting high card. Bill's King wins the cash for his team. Red team crosses 5,6,10 off their list in Bingo action. White and Blue teams drop birdies on 8 and 6 for their teams. Friday Play Biggest turnout of the week on an unusually mild July day saw 18 BB's tee off. The winners were spread out as 4 of the 5 teams won an event. Unfortunately for Bill, his team was the lone loser. You have

Thursday July 11 Scott and Butch carded +5's on Medalist Thursday, but that wasn't enough to catch Clint's double-jump +6. Clint's team wins 3 and a 1/2 events with Mikey's 4th CTP of the year. Scott, Glen, and Bob get the other 1 and a    1/2.  New Feature  As you look at today's result's sheet you will notice a number in parentheses after the CTP and the Medalist telling us about their total for the year. This is similar to reading a baseball box score and seeing: HR's Mantle (34), Mays (40) denoting their home run total for the year.  Today's sheet will note Mikey's 4th CTP and Clint's 3rd Medal. Friday July12 Led by Leroy's double-jump +6, Leroy, Raymond, and Mikey sweep the FBT. Raymond's birdies on 4 and 8 cage the Rabbit. Floyd's first CTP of the season prevents a Royal Flush. For the second consecutive day, Butch cards an impressive plus number but fails to cash in. Butch, you need to get better partners. Jeff strolls ov

Bwana Butch Back with Bud's Boys Butch, the official BB's ambassador to Africa, made his return to more familiar ground today as he teed it up for the first time since June 13. Many stories to come from the daring adventurer. The first thing Butch wants to share is a change in schedule. Butch Fest will be moved from the July 27 Date Due to timing and schedule issues, Butch Fest will be moved to the Fall. All details will be released when available. One rumor making the rounds is that it will take a little longer to process the meat for Butch's Hippo potta- roast and Rhino sausage. Wednesday Play The course was the big winner today. I suppose BB's need their roll out, but the soft conditions would have none of that. The first 4 teams to finish combined for a rather embarrassing -47. The team of Raymond, Doc, and Val, however, figured things out well enough to win the Front by 9 shots and the Total by 12. They slipped up a bit to lose the Back to Shelly, Scott, and an ast

TUESDAY ALERT!!!

Tuesday Alert- Tee Time Change This Tuesday (7-9) our tee times have been pushed back to 11:00 due to a Tournament being played that morning. This is a onetime thing and tee times back to normal (9:42) the rest of the week. Also worth noting is that Doc will be going for his 3rd straight CTP Tuesday, so we need all hands on deck to protect the Floyd.  Mikey and Glen are going to try and stop him, how about you? Friday Play Jeff is Medalist with a +5 to give his team a win on the Front 9. Tom, Randy, and Bob all chip in to win the Back, Total, and Rabbit. As previously mentioned, Doc wins his 2nd consecutive CTP for his team. Birdie Bingo Day 3 Each team added one birdie on Friday. The White and Blue team stand with 8 holes checked off while the Red team is only 2 back with 6.
