(Doc's) Search for Tomorrow (for a Floyd)!

Bud's Boys has entered their Soap Opera phase as it is indeed, 'The Days of our Lives'.

Doc is on a heater by winning his 2nd consecutive CTP and 4th in his last 5 attempts. For the second time this month he will attempt to join Floyd and Butch as the only 3-in-a-row winners. Come out and protect the Floyd!

Raymond's birdie on 17 Wednesday leaves his team with only 1 hole left (16) in the Bingo Game.

Butch, after watching his so-called Captains gag again, becomes 'The Guiding Light' for the White Team by knocking off hole #2 leaving them with 3.




The Red Team ('The Old and the Restless') still have 5 to go. 

Tuesday July 23

Allen is the day's Medalist with a +4. Sidekick Leroy's +2 gives their team Front and Total.

Doc wins the CTP, his team the Back 9.




Glen extends his winning streak to 12 with his birdie on 13 being the Random Skin.



Wednesday July 24



Medalist Leroy (+6) double jumps again in leading an all plus team to a FBT sweep. Tom (+3), Doc (+2), and Butch (+2) all contribute. Doc's 2nd straight CTP gives them 4 of today's 5 events.

Glen extends his win streak to 13 when Dean 'As the Card Turns' a straight to beat Clint the card game.






Bob is in 'Another World'

Mother's Day 5/12

  Happy Mother's Day to everyone. I trust we are all treating the mothers in our lives like the queens they deserve to be treated. Hard to believe my own has been gone 41 years, but the 27 I lived with her are still as vivid as can be. Today might be Mother's Day, but Friday was certainly Mudder's Day. A seven-day layoff for BB's as our course was recovering from the deluge of constant rain. Though most of the course was okay, many swings today produced a spray of mud and water. The layoff combined with the conditions made plus golf a challenge. Tom's Medalist best +5 and Shelly's +3 were the only scores that moved their hcp# upward. No team finished plus in any of the FBT categories. Butch wins the CTP and Doc turns 2-pair in the Card Game to give their team 2 events today despite having the worst score of the 4 teams. St. Pat's Day Sunday 3/17

  Happy St Patrick's Day everyone. Today's edition has the final results from Thursday and Friday's rather small turnouts. But first, something new we are trying.  Many of you know today is the day the NCAA Tournament is revealed, and everyone starts filling out their brackets. Well, forget Kentucky and Kansas or Purdue or whoever! The real March Madness will take place at Kimbeland CC. Read on and fill out your bracket. The person who best predicts the outcome of all the matches will get some yet undetermined special prize, fitting the magnitude of such an event. Here are the participants and their region. In the Allen Hill Regional, Allen himself will square off with Randy. The winner will face the survivor of the Glen vs. KZ matchup. In the Andy McIntosh Regional, Doc and Jeff will meet, with the winner playing either Raymond or Leroy for the regional final. The Bud Marshall Regional has Scott and Roger facing off with the winner going up against the Bob vs. Tom match. T

Champion Golfer of the Year Raymond had to be on his game to win, as there were several great rounds turned in over the two days of play. Let's start at the beginning as we go step by step through the stages of the tournament. Thursday, Day 1 Twenty-four Bud's Boys teed off in hopes of taking home the big trophy. The weather was 40 degrees warmer than day 1 last year. The scores reflected the great conditions as half the field finished in the plus column. Butch leads at +7, 1-up on Raymond, Clint, and Floyd.
