Wednesday July 10

Bwana Butch Back with Bud's Boys

Butch, the official BB's ambassador to Africa, made his return to more familiar ground today as he teed it up for the first time since June 13.

Many stories to come from the daring adventurer. The first thing Butch wants to share is a change in schedule.

Butch Fest will be moved from the July 27 Date

Due to timing and schedule issues, Butch Fest will be moved to the Fall. All details will be released when available.

One rumor making the rounds is that it will take a little longer to process the meat for Butch's Hippo potta- roast and Rhino sausage.

Wednesday Play

The course was the big winner today. I suppose BB's need their roll out, but the soft conditions would have none of that. The first 4 teams to finish combined for a rather embarrassing -47. The team of Raymond, Doc, and Val, however, figured things out well enough to win the Front by 9 shots and the Total by 12. They slipped up a bit to lose the Back to Shelly, Scott, and an astonished Mikey (never give up Mikey!) by 1 little stroke.

KZ turns a pair of sixes to win the Card Game.

Doc's Attempt for the Floyd

Floyd and Butch both showed up today to help ensure that Doc would not be joining their elite status of 3 consecutive CTP's. Doc arrived at the 18th tee in the customary last group of the day to let everyone see if he could complete his quest. He wasted no time, leaving his teammates still choosing their clubs while he confidently strode to the white markers. At first glance his shot seemed to be heading too far to the right. His usual draw kicked in, however, and suddenly the ball was rolling straight at the pin. Alas, the ball ran out of steam, coming up just a few feet outside Randy's previously placed shot. Another worthy attempt falls short.

Butch describes his escape from a charging Rhino to Shelly. As Butch tells it, he ran to a tree with a low hanging branch. He could feel the Rhino's breath on his neck when he made a mighty leap to secure a hold of the branch. Though shocked when he failed to grab the branch, Butch kept his cool and caught it on his way back down.

 Bingo Update

Rodney (7) and KZ (4) push White team to 10, Raymond clears #5 for Blue team (9 total) and Doc moves Red to 8 total with 3 & 7.
