Bud's Boys Weekend Wrap Up
July is wrapping up, Bingo should be finished this week, Doc comes up short of the Floyd for the second time this month and Roger has an unexpected Colorado experience. Here is the latest.
Thursday July 25
Relief from the heat gave us a great July day for golf.
KZ (+4) edges Butch (+3) and Glen (+3) to claim Medalist Honors on Medalist Thursday.
KZ, Glen, and Marty (+2) are the only team to finish plus on either side and easily sweep the FBT. Glen's streak at 14.
Scott wins the CTP to prevent the Royal Flush.
Doc went against normal protocol and played in the first group in his attempt to capture the 'Floyd'. He had to get to a Barry Manilow concert in St. Louis, thus the early tee time. His tee shot on 18 had the distance but not the direction, ending up in the fringe and eliminating his chance for fame. Seems the news spread to Barry and he dedicated a song, 'The One That Got Away' to Doc during the concert.
Leroy allowed us no warning of his birthday observance today as he treated the group with food and drink and cookies to take home.
Since we had no warning and were not able to deck out in yellow, here is an old one from the archives.
Bingo Update
Red's knock out 2 more leaving 3 to go.
Whites still stuck in neutral, also with 3.
Blue team showing some concern as hole 16 eludes them still.
Roger's Travel Surprise
While on one of his visits to Colorado, Roger had to have some emergency surgery requiring a 4-day hospital stay (3 days on oxygen). All went well. As I am writing this, he is on I-70 heading for home. No golf for 6 weeks but should be ready for the 'Champion Golfer of the Year' tournament tentatively scheduled for Sept 25, 26. Mark your calendars.
Have a guaranteed weight loss program low fat, low sugar low fiber and everything else. It is callled Roger ice chips and sips of water diet. That plus antibiotics and saline solution to clean you out. Try that for three days and see if you hangry at the end of three days.
