Tom scores most points with 39. Tom, Randy, and Glen earn 10 cards and need every one to win the poker hand with 2 pair. New Tuesday Event Today's blog will be exclusively about today's play. Stay tuned later this week for the September Review and other bits of Bud's Boys news. The suggestion to have less pics of Raymond and more of Billie Jo will also be addressed. Tuesday Our reigning Champ had a new idea for Tuesday play. Tuesday 2-somes is an extra game that gives us 5 games for each day of play. Obviously, that means every day is now a 5-dollar day. Inflation has also hit BB's it seems. The game is simple, at the end of play, 2-person teams are drawn and the best score wins the extra pot. On the daily scorecard the winners will be tagged with a T2 (Tuesday 2-somes) to signify the victory. (Today's winners were Keith and Roger as you can see below.) Anita's Medalist best +7 leads team to Front victory and a tie for Total. Bob's +4 is key in his team taking the Back and the other half of the Total. (Sorry, should have edited Raymond out of picture.) KZ wins CTP, giving his ...

Champion Golfer of the Year Raymond had to be on his game to win, as there were several great rounds turned in over the two days of play. Let's start at the beginning as we go step by step through the stages of the tournament. Thursday, Day 1 Twenty-four Bud's Boys teed off in hopes of taking home the big trophy. The weather was 40 degrees warmer than day 1 last year. The scores reflected the great conditions as half the field finished in the plus column. Butch leads at +7, 1-up on Raymond, Clint, and Floyd. Par 3 winners today #4 Westy #6 Butch #8 Tom #18 Bob Players compare scores post round Jeff predicts who will win on Friday Scoreboard Thursday Friday-Tournament Conclusion The group came out in patriotic red, white, and blue to support our Ryder Cup team (they needed considerably more than that it turned out). Champion Golfer of the Year

Raymond earns the title as Scott passes the trophy to the new champ. I wanted to post this for the thousands of readers who were left hanging without knowing who won. Since the end of the tournament, I have spent Friday evening at a football game. I spent basically 12 hours at Kimbeland Saturday for the Fall Classic tournament and have another 7 hours today to finish the thing. I hope to have time to give our excellent Bud's Boys outing a proper write-up on Monday. Or Tuesday. Or sometime in October when my energy returns. Congrats again to Raymond, our 'Champion Golfer of the Year, 2023'.
