Bud's Boys News Weekly results, Dexter news, and Billie Jo returns with a question for BB's. Next Week We will start with next week's schedule. Course is closed this Friday, so schedule your golf Tuesday through Thursday. All Tee Times start at 9:50! Last Week Results were posted daily, but we will recognize the standout performances. Tuesday- Clint earns his 6th CTP, while Brandon takes Medalist (+6). Wednesday- Rick wins his 4th CTP, Brandon goes back-to-back as Medalist (+5). The real news, however, is the Card Game. We have had some great showdowns, but this one is hard to top. A straight up head-to-head matchup between two 4-man teams. They had split the 4 on course events, so all the money ($1) and bragging rights came down to the Card Game.   The players gathered around the table. 'Black Bart" Brandon would turn the cards for his team. In a change of strategy, usual card turner Rodney turned the duties over to 'Shifty' Scotty. They took turns high ca...

Labor Day Weekend Edition The sun has set on yet another month, as August is already gone. 2023 is officially 2/3 complete. Today's read includes the results from Weds. and Thurs., along with a review of August in BB's World and a contributing piece from an anonymous source. We will start, however, with what's coming up this week. All tee times start at 9:50 SEMO SRs. has a 2-day event on Weds. and Thurs. in Dexter. Raymond, Glen, Randy, Leroy, Gary, Marty, Clint, and Gerald will be participating in said event, so good luck to all of them. The regular BB's games will be played as usual on those days, so let's have a good turnout this week. Also, good luck to Rick, Raymond, Randy, Tom, Gary, Gerald, Clint, and Glen as they represent Bud's Boys in the Kimbeland Senior Club Championship this coming Saturday and Sunday.  Wednesday 8/30 Wacky Wednesday worked out exactly that way. The last place team points wise earned enough cards to win the Card game, breaking them...

Westy Brushes Off the Competition Westy handily wins Medalist, his +9 score 5 strokes clear of Doc's 2nd place +4. In his post round press conference, he noted that, "I don't always score 33 points, but when I do, I make sure there are enough players (we had 19 today) to make it worth my while." His performance wins the Team Total and a split of the Back 9. Glen's 20 points on the Front 9 leads his team to that victory. Doc's 19 on the Back 9 leads his team to the other half of the split. Rodney snuggles his tee shot to a Red Flag on 18 close enough to claim another CTP. Westy closed his comments by urging everyone to enjoy the evening and come back tomorrow to play the Wednesday card game.
