A sparse amount of reporting to share so I will throw in a couple more 'Blasts from the Past' to conclude today's blog.

Thanks to some mighty fine scheduling by our higher ups, we only had Tuesday and Wednesday available for BB's to gather and show off our considerable set of skills.

Box scores and notes from June 16 and 17.

Tuesday 6/16 Random Skin Day

Leroy comes in with a more than impressive +7 for the day, good enough for his squad to cash in $18 with a +6.5 Front 9.

Leroy's +7, however, comes in second for Medalist honors.

The star of today's show, by unanimous vote, goes to Raymond with a double jump +9 thanks to a group best 35 points. his team takes Back 9 and Total victories.

Randy, Norris, and Ray take the two side games with Randy's CTP and Norris's off the green birdie on #3 for the Random Skin.

Wednesday 6/17 Card Game

Today's number of players down to 12 with 8 BB's competing at Jaycee SEMO Senior event.

(Bill F. takes First Place in Super Senior 2 Gross flight, KZ takes first in the Net. Clint takes 3rd in SS-1.)

Don's CTP on #18 nearly gives his team a Royal Flush on the day. They settle for 4 events as the team of Tom, Raymond, and Jeff's Full House wins the Card Game.

Heat Index 105-110, No Relief in Sight

As I type this around 10:30 PM, temperature in Kelso stands at 85 (feels like 88), by 10:00 AM tomorrow it will feel like 102. Something to look forward to.

We have not been able to comment recently, so I monkeyed with settings. Please try and see if it is fixed.

Rules Quiz

We haven't had a rules quiz in a while, so you rule experts take a shot at this one.

Ponder that while we show todays results.

Brandon's co-Medalist +6 carries Jeff and Floyd to Front and Total victories.

Tom, Doc, and Westy take back 9 with +4.

Deano's Co-Medalist +6 and game high 34 points win no money but earns him the utmost admiration from his peers. He does, however, share in the winnings of Randy's 6th CTP.

What's your answer to today's rules question?

Remember, no pushing, scraping, or scooping!

Blast From the Past May 26, 2022

No, not those three.

Oh yes, these three! The Over the Hill Gang or the Soggy Bottom Bud's Boys were just 2 of the names suggested to me (that I could print).

When our teams are determined by the random turn of the cards, it can make for some interesting combinations. Today was such a day, as our three eldest were grouped together. I am not going to reveal their ages but be assured each is a lot closer to a 100 than to 50 (like their golf scores). Through gracious generosity or perhaps simple golfing ineptitude by the other teams, the seasoned citizens swept the front, back, and total. Tom kept them from also taking CTP by hitting his "close enough to win". Luckily the 3 of them were nodding off while we paced off the distance, so they really couldn't argue the decision. Deano's Medalist winning +5 led the team as all 3 finished with plus scores. Glen had most points (34) and was the only other player in the field to finish in the plus column.

Congratulations to Deano, Rodney, and Andy for their excellent performance on the course today. I just hope they do not anger the golf gods by acting too cocky.

Be Ready at 9:00 Friday!

I thought the following video is a great look at the beauty of our first hole. Anything else you see is up to your own interpretations.
