Sunday April 26

Sunday Update

Three days of play to report but will start with a proposal.

Where as.......  we had 5 players on three teams tie for Medalist

Where as.......  on same day we had 2 teams tie for Back 9

Where as.......   A misunderstanding on money in the pot

Where as.......   I didn't take an extra minute to break down how to correctly pay one team a half share
and a third of a share, another team a full share, a half share and a third share, and
the last team 2 full shares and a third share,

Where as........   I paid one team correctly; I paid one team a dollar a man too much, and I shorted one
                          team 2 dollars per player

I propose........  We immediately break all ties before payout.

My suggestion is scorecard playoff. A Front 9 tie you start at 9 and go back until one team wins the hole using best (or 2 best) scores. Same on Back 9, same on Total. Since we pay out to a team for Medalist, we can use same system.

Please bring suggestions on Tuesday.

Tuesday April 21

Twenty-one BB's on duty, Glen Keith, and Ron sweep the FBT as Glen and Keith tied for Medalist honors.

Clint wins his 2nd CTP and Westy brings his buddy Jeff T to play along and he wins Random Skin with a birdie on #14.

Wednesday April 22

Another FBT sweep plus an extra leg on the Card Game (Full House) gives Floyd, Glen, and Rick a big pay day. Glen's +6 tops the net scores.

Tom earns his 4th CTP.

Thursday April 23

You've already read some details about our confusing finish. I will let you look at the scorecard for details.

What was not confusing was how close to the hole (very close) Bill F hit his tee shot on #18 to win the CTP.

Back to 2022

I meant to post this old St Patty's day blog this year but forgot. Here it is, just a little late.

St. Patrick's Day 2022

St. Patrick's Day Results (and a note from Billie Jo)

Sixteen Bud's Boys garbed in green gravitated to the practice green gamely trying to groove their putting grip, guardedly glimpsing over their guts to see the grass. Gee, wasn't that fun. After the round everyone gathered outside to gloat, grumble, and guzzle away any gambling gains. So, let's get to what happened in between.

Best Dressed Couple Award

Best dressed couple unanimously goes to Scott and Jeff.

Jeff claims he is wearing a kilt. (Reminds me of an episode of "King of the Hill" when Hank Hill walks into his 13-year old sons bedroom to catch him wearing a cheerleaders skirt. "Son, there better be a naked cheerleader hiding under your bed, or you have some explaining to do.")

On the course, Doc O'Milde, Roger O'Richmond and Andy Mcllroy grabbed all the green sweeping the front, back, and total. Glen gauged his shot well enough on 18 to win his 4th CTP in his last 6 outings.

Doc wins Medalist +8
Glen most points 36
Tom a +6 32 points from the Blue Tees
Marty's tee shot on 8 setting up a birdie

Note from Billie Jo

Hey Bud's Boys, so sorry to hear your course will be closed on Mondays. What a bummer.

Maybe you can get a dog to play with you on Monday's.

Thank you Billie Jo for the consoling words. We will try to survive. By the way, we have a few 'dog' guys in our group. If you needed any help, I am sure they would volunteer to play with your dog. Hope to hear from you soon.
