Bud's Boys March On
We managed to complete 3 days of play before and after the deluge of precipitation. Sorry to hear our Jackson contingent are taking cold showers because of it. Suck it up, buttercup! (As once said on the course.)

His cart is back in service after a total makeover. He was so pleased with the work that he didn't care about his -7 on the course.
Tuesday March 3
Before the round, Glen was presented with his 2026 Player of the Year trophy.
A bag of Fritos from his friends in Mexico was included.
On the course
Butch becomes the first BB to reach the +10 threshold as his team sweeps the FBT. His birdie on #7 also claims Tuesday's special contest of Random Skin to give his team a near miss at a Royal Flush.
Bill H is the spoiler with his first CTP of 2026.
Wednesday March 4
A bonus day, sort of, as rain was expected.
Roger wins his first CTP this season.
Randy, Glen, and Clint win the Card Game with a straight, giving them 3 1/2 of today's 5 events.
Friday March 6
If Wednesday was a bonus day, then Friday was a double bonus as no one thought the course would be open after over 3 inches of rain.
The group played as if it didn't expect to play as -6 wins the Total by 3 shots.
Clint's +1 is the only score on the positive side.
Appropriately for the day, a slow-moving Rabbit was captured on #10 with a Par.
Glen wins the CTP.

As I am sure you are all aware, our offices here at Bud's Boys are closed today in recognition of a National Holiday very close to our hearts. Next edition has plenty of material and will be posted in the next day or two. Doesn't seem likely there will be any more play till then anyway.
In case there is anyone who is not aware of the holiday.

Tuesday January 25, 2022
Welcome back everyone. The staff is back at work after yesterday's holiday. Some were drinking with Jeff, and he sends this pic from Ft. Lauderdale.
More from Jeff later. The group had a 5-day layoff due to weather, and 17 golfers braved chilly conditions in hopes of getting at least one round in this week.
Despite the layoff, scoring was up on the day with the group ending the day with +22. Nine players carded a total of 19 birdies with Tom and Doc leading with 4 each. Five players topped the 30-point level led by Tom's 36. Medalist was a tight battle with Allen ending on top with +8, closely followed by Doc +7, Tom and Floyd +6. Teamwise, 3 of 5 got a piece of the pot. Tom, Floyd and Rick (Team 1) took back and total. Team 4 won the front and Allen's first CTP of the season rescues Team 3.
Shot of the day
Raymond hits the flag stick with his tee shot on 6. Unfortunately, it did not go in the hole.
Fortunately, as you can see, it stopped close enough for him to secure his par!
Tips of the day
1. You hit your drive in the middle of the trees. All you have is a low shot between the trees. You must keep it below the overhanging branches. There is always the less loft back foot punch shot. Or you can try the Perryville way as explained by Butch and Raymond.

2. Teeing up your ball within the rules.
Tom was ready to tee off on 14 when teammate Rick suggested I take a picture of Tom's drive. Tom stepped back and asked why. Several seconds (and chuckles) later, Tom figured it out. I can witness to him teeing off properly. Rick commented " I am all about the integrity of the game. Even though he is my teammate, I wasn't going to let him go Patrick Reed on us." Thank you, Sheriff Rick.
3. Be very careful placing your tee in frozen ground, you could lose your balance. Unfortunately, this tip is too late for Bob. Today he lost his balance on 12, and you might guess what happened next.
Doc filed this report: "My first thought seeing someone take a header down the hill was that it was Mikey. He had taken 3 shots of Fireball thanks to my birdies and was a little suspect. I was glad to see it was only Bob. Sorry, I meant I am glad no one was hurt."
Better news for Bob is what he has coming next week.
What's up with Jeff?
While we are enjoying cold weather golf Jeff is stuck in Florida. He sends this pic from Hooters Ft. Lauderdale.
This begs for a good caption. A bottle of Jeff's favorite brew for the one of you who can come up with the best line. The only entry so far is this one
"Gramps took me to Hooters and all I got was this tee shirt." Please let us know what you have.
Medical update: Bob's back still tender, will wait for warmer weather for next appearance. Mikey back in action today. He can see again!
