Sunday March 29

 Bud's Boys March Dispatch

On Thursday we had winners,

and we had losers,

and later we had boozers. But whichever way you played it, all agreed it to be another splendid day to play.

Medalist Day produced a tie for the top score, a double jump +8, between Allen and Clint. This is the second consecutive Medalist Day that Clint "Sandy" Ruppel has posted a +8. More on that later.

Keith, Doc, and Ray are biggest winners by taking the Back 9 and the Total. Ray and Doc both birdied #10.

Glen wins his 4th CTP in March and now leads the pack with 6 on the season.

New Award Alert

Marty has donated a few golf balls with a logo on the ball that seems justified to hand out at appropriate times for the actions of certain individuals. If you deem someone worthy of the honor, Bill H has been designated as the arbiter to accept or deny your request. If accepted, your nominee will be awarded one of these prized golf balls to display as he seems fit. More importantly, he will be officially recognized by the rest of us as being worthy of the honor.

What exactly are we talking about here you ask? Well, the logo speaks for itself.

It is fitting that the first nomination, by unanimous consensus, was Sandy Ruppel for his blatant abuse of our handicap system. He is our first, and certainly deserving, recipient of #1 Jackass.

Masters Fantasy Golf

I am going to try something along the line of the NCAA basketball bracket challenge with the Masters.
It is just a way to enhance your viewing of the tournament. You pick the players and hope they perform well enough for you to win the modest prize pot but also bragging rights.

Here is a sample of how it works. There are 10 slots for you to place a player. A player can only be used once so you will have 10 different players.

Round 1                  Round 2                Round 3                 Round 4
Scottie                     Rory                     DeChambeau          Rahm
Speith                      Fleetwood            Morikowa               Matsuyama
                                                             A: Lowry                A: Fitzpatrick

Each day you take the best score of your 2 players so at the end you have 4 scores. Best score wins.
There is a third player on Rounds 3 & 4 in case both of your players missed the cut. The alternate is used only if BOTH players missed the cut, not just 1.

Make a sheet for yourself, your wife, your dog, or however many you want to turn in at the $2 entry fee.
Money will be distributed depending on number of entrants. I promise it will make the tournament more interesting if you have some money on the line. Any questions welcomed.

I will post the top players listed by the Odds Makers closer to the tourney.
