Nearly New Year Edition
Two more days played to report and a Christmas edition from a few years ago.
Hope your Christmas was all you wanted it to be.
I have to show off what my next-door neighbor made for Shelly and me.
A nice set of coasters with a neat golf theme. May have to commission him to do a 'Bud's Boys' set.
Weds Christmas Eve
Still a bit foggy on the course. View from first tee box.
Zach, our new club Manager, played along with us and won the CTP in his first try.
Clint and Ray tied for Medalist Honors at +7.
Tom scored 36 points for a +5 to help Clint sweep the FBT for their team.
Scott's Ace high straight was good enough to claim the pot in the Card Game.
Sun nearly popped out at the end of the round.
Friday 12/26
Leroy tops the scoring list with a +4, one stroke better than his teammates Raymond and Scott. They easily win the Back 9 and Total and tie for the Front 9.
Randy wins the CTP. Teammates Butch, Brandon, and Wayne each have a birdie on the Front 9 to snare the Rabbit.
Here are 2 posts from 2021. The first is Dec 24 and the next is Dec 27.
Merry Christmas Everyone!
It's a White Christmas at least for Mark Roger as this is what he woke up to in Colorado today. Thanks, Mark, for the wonderful picture (Bragger).
I had a few things in mind, but unexpected duties and company leaves little time. One was a Christmas story that I will skip and just give the moral to the story. No matter how many or how few physical gifts you get, it's all about your attitude. Enjoy what you have. Hopefully we will see a lot golfy gifts next week. If you are travelling, please be safe. No need to be in a hurry.
Merry Christmas from Shelly, Randy... and Santa Floyd!
Oh, and for you desperate guys, Billie Jo sends a Christmas Card
"Hey Bud's Boys hope you weren't naughty! Merry Christmas!"
From December 27, 2021:
70's Temps, Return of Roger, Greetings from the South, the Bagger Gang Rides Again! and a Public Service Announcement in Today's Post.
PSA: If you are playing this week, you must bring your own food and drink as clubhouse is closed till New Year.
It is fitting that we hit the 70's in temperature the day we receive this message from our old friend Bob "The Rammer" Ramsey down in sunny Florida.
Chris, Bob, Jim and Mike (obviously these guys are in witness protection)
Bob enjoys following the blog and keeping up with his old buddies and sends his good wishes. He also made this comment: "You guys are so lucky I am not there. I would be cleaning up with those lame scores you turn in!" Good ol' Bob, always the kidder. Bob, please keep in touch, hope you continue to follow us next year.
We had 14 golfers today total. Everyone anxiously awaits that opening tee shot. In bottom photo, Rodney explains today's game.
He also zeroed in on 18 To take CTP. Welcome back indeed. Not sure how he will play tomorrow when caffeine wears off.
Bagger Gang makes another Robbery
Could someone explain how this team that was in the trees, short of the green and sometimes just wandering around wins front and overall?
And yet they shoot +10 front and +11 total. Congrats Leroy, Gary and bagger Clint
Other highlights include Clint Medalist +7, one ahead of Raymond, Dean, And Mikey. Randy "Raymond" Balsman most points with 36, 3 better than R Bohn. Roger CTP.
Fun with numbers
We have to take a look at Mr. Balsman's scorecard on the front. On par 3 holes 4, 6, 8 he took bogeys. He did par the other even number hole 2 for a total of 5 points on the even number holes. What about the odd number holes? Apparently, everybody loves Raymond on the odds. Would you believe 15 points! Wait, that would mean he had to birdie all 5. Yes, 1,3,5,7, and 9 for a total of 20 points (2 under par) on the front. Throw in a birdie on 13 and he has a great 6 birdie day. Well Done!
