 BB's September Sentinel

A full moon was over Kimbeland, possibly explaining some unusual scoring for the week.

Results from Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday coming up but first a save the date.

Floyd's Fish Fry will be Saturday October 18. Rumor has it that fish will be on the menu.

Tuesday Sept 2

Our first round in September brought out 21 BB's.

Hard to believe that a team could lose the Front 9 by 25 strokes, but it did. Not going to embarrass by naming names, but the box score below will reveal the minus 17 and a half performance.

Doc was the day's MVP with most points and a Medalist best +5. However, his stellar play only resulted in a tie for the Total for his team.

Charlie wins the CTP, rescuing a team that finished 5th out of the 6 teams competing.

Steady as she goes was the motto for Allen, Scott, and Dave as their +4 won the Back 9 and +2 ties for the Total.

Glen's birdie on #11 wins the Random Skin giving his team the biggest payday as they also win the Front 9 with a +8.

Wednesday Sept 3

A full scorecard of 24 players lined up to play in the Wednesday Card Game. A surge in scoring leads to a record number of cards earned and the only day this week the group ends play with a positive total.

Wayne has the best day with a +8 Medal performance, but a lack of support left his team without a victory.

KZ improves 11 points from Tuesday with a double jump +6, Clint improves 7 from his Tuesday score and Floyd 5 to give their team The Front 9 and the Total but their 14 cards earned on the par 3's comes up short in the poker game.

Today's Top Dogs were Leroy, Jeff, Norris, and Rick. They scored best on the Back 9 but cleaned up in the side games.

Leroy wins his first 2025 CTP and their 12 earned cards produced 4 tens, the winning hand. That 2 of those tens were both diamonds needs explanation. For the first time in memory, we had more than 52 cards earned. Eight random cards from another deck were added which also explained why a 6 was turned 6 times.

Thursday Sept 4

Scoring dropped for Medalist Thursday as 3 teams split the Medalist pot when 4 players tied at +3.
Ray, Don, Glen, and Randy top the list with +3's.

Tom, Randy, and Don score a 2-under par 56 points to win the Back 9. It also gives them enough to claim the Total.

Charlie wins his 2nd CTP this week.
