 Bud's Boys Weekend News 



It was a hopping good time for Thursday Medalist Day in BB's world. Four double jumpers vied for today's title.

Defending Thursday champ from last week, Leroy, shot an impressive +5 only to see it dwarfed by teammate Ron, who carded a more impressive +9. Their teams feeling of satisfaction didn't last long, however, when the very next group came through. 

Rodney and Bill F came through with a pair of +7's, well behind their leader Scott, who coincidentally wins his 11th Medal of 2025 by reaching +11 on the day. Scott also wins his 6th CTP. The only thing keeping this team from the Royal Flush of all 5 events was that they backloaded their +25 Total by scoring +19 on the Back 9. This allowed Ron and Leroy's trio to take the Front 9 with a +7.5.

The +25 surely seemed to be a record, certainly by a threesome, but something about that +25 rang a bell in the back of my mind.

Sure enough, back in February of 2024, these 3 BB's put the first +25 on the board.



KZ shot the +11 that day with Bob and Tom completing the team double jump with +8 and +6 respectively.


I will say that today's +19 on the Back 9 has likely not been beaten. Here is a look at their card. Quite a start and even better finish with 3 birdies on 18. The order is Bill F on top, Scotty middle and Rodney bottom.


Tom shoots a 2-under par +38-point round.


Friday 


Friday went back to more appropriate and modest scoring.

Wayne's +5 is best for the day. He accomplished this by holing an eagle putt on #13, which was also snared the Rabbit.

Glen wins his 14th CTP.

New Years News Bits- Opening Day 2025 We have coverage of the first two days of the new 2025 season along with a look back at 2024. Plenty of pictures from several different contributors of the winter storm to pass your time. Maybe we should throw in a couple bucks and make your prediction of when the next Bud's Boys round will be played. It is good to be back up and running with my new computer. The geek salesman assured me this computer will be much faster. Honestly though, I seem to type just as slow as before.  Bud's Boys Count Your Blessings Issue Everyday should be a 'CYB' day but some days you realize it a little more. More on that later. Halloween is coming soon, and we have the Coors golfer haunting our course. Friday Rabbit Chase The greens were fast and furious once more and the total group score of minus 24 reflected as much. Kudos to Doc (+4) and Dean (+3) for shooting on the plus side of their handicap numbers in the tough conditions. Special shout out to Glen and Butch for breaking their streaks of minus golf with a +3 for Butch and a Medalist best +5 for Glen. Butch jarred his birdie putt on hole #9 to catch the Rabbit.
