  Bud's Boys Week in Review 7-15 to 7/18

Tuesday

A week of miserable heat began today, and the group was not ready to cope. The total score of the 19 participants added up to a sultry -32.

Allen, Norris, and Bill F won the Back 9 and Total with a +6 1/2 and a +4 respectively.

Scott's Medalist best +3 led his team to victory on the Front 9 and Charlie won the CTP. 

Tom's birdie on #4 wins the Random Skin.

Ron was rewarded for his recent good scores with something he really needed. A 99 cent gift card to Dairy Queen.





Thursday

We had 4 of 6 teams finish Wednesday's play before the rains hit washing out the round.

Sixteen BB's were on the course for Medalist Thursday. The dangerous heat index returned but players managed better today with a group score of +2.

Dave earns his first Medal topping out at +6, 2 shots better than KZ and Charlie. Charlie did, however, win his 2nd straight CTP honor and third in the last four rounds.








Friday

Glen prevented Charlie from winning his 3rd consecutive CTP, but the rest of today's prize money was pocketed by Norris, Charlie, John, and Ray. John and Ray both double jumped with their Medalist best +6's. They easily swept the FBT and Ray's birdies on 6 and 9 snared the Rabbit.

New Years News Bits- Opening Day 2025 We have coverage of the first two days of the new 2025 season along with a look back at 2024. Plenty of pictures from several different contributors of the winter storm to pass your time. Maybe we should throw in a couple bucks and make your prediction of when the next Bud's Boys round will be played. It is good to be back up and running with my new computer. The geek salesman assured me this computer will be much faster. Honestly though, I seem to type just as slow as before. Thursday Lunch Proposal How about we meet again this Thursday (11:00) if there is no golf. We had a good turnout this past week and I propose we do it again this Thursday.  Bud's Boys Count Your Blessings Issue Everyday should be a 'CYB' day but some days you realize it a little more. More on that later. Halloween is coming soon, and we have the Coors golfer haunting our course. Friday Rabbit Chase The greens were fast and furious once more and the total group score of minus 24 reflected as much. Kudos to Doc (+4) and Dean (+3) for shooting on the plus side of their handicap numbers in the tough conditions. Special shout out to Glen and Butch for breaking their streaks of minus golf with a +3 for Butch and a Medalist best +5 for Glen. Butch jarred his birdie putt on hole #9 to catch the Rabbit.
