  Weds 2/26 After a 16-day layoff, BB's were back in action. Rodney returns for his first round since August 29, 2024. With some help from Scott and Clint, his team sweeps the FBT. KZ earns Medalist honors at +3. Randy wins his first CTP of 2025. Doc's Floyd attempt comes up short. Thurs 2/27 We started with 8 and finished with six. Randy and Scott tied for Medalist and Scott wins his first CTP this season.

Hoping for Thursday.    I-SC Hoosiers continued Chapter 2: The Regular Season The month of April was just as angry as March. Of the 12 games on our schedule, only 5 were able to be played.  Bud's Boys 'Are We There Yet?' Issue I certainly feel like the kid stuck in a car with the feeling of never reaching his destination. When will we make it back on the course? Frustration level nearing critical.  Raymond checks in with some fun with numbers facts. At this date last year, he had played 29 rounds. His total this year stands at 11 with slim chances of adding to that total this week. So, while we wait for Mother Nature to ease our pain, I have some medical updates to share and then an attempt to fill my time with a short story from my ever more unburdened memory. Health Update #1 Great news from Bill! The results from a recent PET scan show him to be cancer free. He is so looking forward to more golf this year. Way to go Bill. Health Update #2 Tom's bypass surgery on the 13th went well as planned. He is currently rehabbing at the Lutheran Home in Cape. It is a slow process, but I certainly have seen some improvement this past week. We wish him the patience ...

 Lunch Suggestion for Thursday Thursday seems like a good day for a lunch get together. 11:00 if you can make it. Monday Results We had a fivesome for Monday's 18-hole event. Doc and Butch challenged Raymond, Scott, and Randy on a Reverse Rabbit competition. The Front 9 was tight through 4 holes, but then Doc and Butch both received a visit from 'Uncle Dub' (double bogey) on hole #5. Seemingly out of it at this point, never give up Butch lined up for his second shot on #7. I will let Butch describe what happened next in his own words.  "I was about 170 yards out, so I went with a three-quarter swing gap wedge and just smoothed it up to the flag." I will now give my version of what I witnessed standing at the 100-yard mark. It looked like he hit a wood, possibly a 5, from about 120 to 125 out.  Super Sunday Bud's Boys News This is being written before the Chiefs go for the Professional Football version of the 'Floyd'. BB's all know how tough the third one can be. Can't wait to see the game. Scorecards of the Week Feb 3 through 7 We did get 4 rounds this week in very challenging weather conditions as the scores seem to indicate. Here is the rundown. Monday Feb 3 First appearance shorts this season. Might be awhile till the next. We had 13 BB's out for a Monday Reverse Rabbit chase. Butch had the hot hand with a Medalist best +3. That was good enough for his team to take the Back 9 and the Total. Glen's +2 led his team to Front 9 victory and his 2nd CTP of the young season gives his team 2 of the 5 events.  Bud's Boys Groundhog Day Edition Results from our long-awaited return to the course plus more looking back at 2024. It is official, Punxsutawney Phil proclaims that there will be golf at Kimbeland tomorrow (Monday). 11:00 tee time and, as always, bring your own food and beverage. News Flash  CNN is calling for Leroy to resign as BB's Sergeant at Arms for using an inappropriate salute.  Leroy responded by saying, "CNN?, never heard of them." A Trump Executive Order Everyone (especially PGA Pros) Can Agree With Tuesday Jan 28 After 25 long days of waiting, Bud's Boys finally hit the links. Fourteen players shook off the dust and snowflakes from their clubs to play some pretty decent golf considering the extended layoff. I did not witness a single player whiff on their opening tee shot.  Doc (medalist best +5), Shelly (+4), Glen, Raymond, and Gary (all +3) stood out from the pack as the group took 2 tours around the Front 9 as the Back 9 was still undergoing cleanup...
