Sunday 11/24
Bud's Boys Turkey Tales
Friendly reminders of the week.
Monday play always starts at 11:00. Check in if running late. You are responsible for your own food and drink.
We do have regular tee times on Friday this week along with Mon, Tues, Weds. May the weather please give us a chance.
Thursday is a day to give thanks. Doc has a message for the group.
"In Jackson town, at Kimbeland Downs
a merry group of senior golfers can be found.
'Bud's Boys' is their name,
amateur fun golf is their game.
Always spreading joy and cheer, no matter the weather
throughout the year.
They golf for all the right reasons,
no matter what the season.
In summary, I admit to humbly confessing,
my thankfulness for our special group
and all of God's blessings."
Happy Thanksgiving Ya'll
DOC
Well said Doc. We should be thankful for the group, so it doesn't hurt to hear one more reminder.
Don't be the guy, keep your frustrations from being uncomfortable to those around you. We all know the feeling. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day.
Tuesday Random Skin Day
It was a day of shorts and short sleeves, not bad for the 19th day of November.
Shelly and Roger tie for Medalist honors at +4, but Roger's team sweeps the FBT.
Shelly's team, however, wins the other 2 events thanks to her birdie on #4 to win the skin and teammate Leroy's CTP.
Wednesday 11/20 Card Game
Long pants and pullovers returned in a crisper weather day.
Leroy steals the show with an eye-opening +9 performance to win Medalist honors by 6 strokes. Unfortunately for Leroy, as a wise man once said, "It's all about your teammates." Despite earning a team best 10 cards, Leroy's team is shut out of any winnings today.
Raymond, Scott, and Clint all shoot on the plus side to sweep the FBT. Raymond's 5th CTP of the year gives them a 4th event.
KZ does his usual thing by filling in a Flush with his last card to take the last team event.
Randy informs Leroy that although he wins nothing today, his score still requires a double jump.
He took it well, sort of.
What a thoughtful limerick Doc!!!Here’s hoping we all have a blessed & wonderful Thanksgiving. Deano
