 Bud's Boys November Review

Big November review but first we will clean up the last 2 days of the month.

Tuesday 11/26

A 4 on 4 match that was pretty much split up with one team taking 3 out of 5.

Glen Medals with a +6 and with help from Jeff's +3 win the Front 9 and Total.

Butch cards a +5 to lead his team to victory on the Back 9. Randy's CTP gives the team a 2nd win.

The tie was broken with the Random Skin being won with a par on hole #3, sad to say.

Weds 11/27

Bob's +8 (Medal #14 for Bob) backed by Glen's +5 and Roger's +1 runs away with the FBT.

Raymond's CTP and the team's 13 earned cards (6 of those on hole #12) which produces an Aces over Full House gives his team the other 2 events.

I must share some serious scrambling I witnessed on holes 2 and 3 and 13.

Brandon hooked his tee shot on #2 over the road which required him to re-tee. That shot sliced into the trees right, closer to #1 cart path than #2 fairway. His fourth shot avoided several trees and managed to roll all the way onto the green albeit 30 plus feet from the pin. With nothing to lose, Brandon putted his last bullet toward the hole and watched it disappear into the cup for a remarkable bogey.

Number 3 produced another hook from Brandon resulting in a lie behind the trees next to the out of bounds road. He tried going left of the tree immediately in front of him but pulled it too much which caused the ball to land on the road and bounce and bounce and bounce until it caught the slope of the road and rolled back in bounds close to the green. A pitch and a putt of about 14 feet and a birdie from the depths of a sure double bogey. His phone app recorded the path.

Raymond (in Doc's absence) recorded Rick's 2nd shot on #13.

If you are thinking that is #12 green behind him, you would be correct. An unfortunate carom off a tree from his tee shot put him further away for his 2nd shot. Never giving up, Rick managed to be just over the green in 4 with a chance at a par. We will end the story there.

November Review

We played 13 days in November. Twenty players totaled 134 rounds. that is the lowest number of rounds since January, only an average of 10 players per day. Half of the 20 players saw their number go down for the month while 6 showed improvements. Four remained steady.

Tom and Glen each took 3 CTP's in November. Raymond was the only other multiple winner with 2.

Bob and Randy each took 3 Medals for the month while Glen, Scott, Leroy, and Doc had 2.

Honor Roll numbers for November included +9's from Leroy and Glen and a +8 from Bob. Glen also had 2 rounds of 36 points.

In the yearlong race for the CTP crown, Tom has wrapped that up already. It is just a matter of how high he can push his already record amount.

Tom 24
Glen 16
Randy 13
Jeff 13
Doc 10

The Medalist race is still much in doubt. Scott and Leroy are tied at 17 with KZ close behind at 15. Bob and Randy have 14. Vegas oddsmakers favor Scott as there are some doubts about Leroy's fortitude when it comes to winter golf.

BB's Leftovers

Hate to pile on after the recent news of our Kimbeland rates rising, but it seems some of the staff at BB's headquarters are making noise about a raise. The staffer who comes up with all the numbers you read about in the blog seems to think he deserves a few more bananas.

Also, the backup photographer (when Doc is on the road) is demanding more. He challenges you to see if you can determine which is his photo and which is Doc's.

So do not be surprised if BB's dues go up 20, 30, or even 50%!
