BB's Review, Pumpkin Spice Edition


Wednesday Card Game

Clint drops in for his only appearance of the week and dominates the day's action. His 35 points and net +9 score are both top marks for the day. This leads his team to the FBT sweep and he tops it off with his 5th CTP of the season. This is a start to a rest of the week trend. Stay tuned

KZ prevents the Royal Flush by turning a straight in the Card Game for his team.


Clint could not stick around for a post-game interview as he had to pick up his free stuff from his former employer.


Medalist Thursday 

An interesting turnout of only 5 BB's as everyone's schedules seemed to scatter most of the group elsewhere.

Dean accomplishes, at least our archivist suspects, a new BB's first. He scores the most points, earns Medalist honors, and sweeps the FBT. As today is Medalist Thursday, he wins all 5 events for a personal Royal Flush.

Let there be no doubt that he accomplished this feat with the benefit from the excellent coaching of his teammate who humbly asked not to be named.

Friday Rabbit

Leroy caps off a week of big individual performances by the group with his own big day.

He equals Dean's Thursday performance by scoring the most points, earning Medalist honors (shared with Allen, however) at +4, winning the CTP and sweeping the FBT. This is the fourth straight time this week that one team has swept the FBT.

The Rabbit ran all the way to the 17th hole before John snared it with his birdie to prevent Leroy's Royal Flush.

Mother's Day 5/12

  Happy Mother's Day to everyone. I trust we are all treating the mothers in our lives like the queens they deserve to be treated. Hard to believe my own has been gone 41 years, but the 27 I lived with her are still as vivid as can be. Today might be Mother's Day, but Friday was certainly Mudder's Day. A seven-day layoff for BB's as our course was recovering from the deluge of constant rain. Though most of the course was okay, many swings today produced a spray of mud and water. The layoff combined with the conditions made plus golf a challenge. Tom's Medalist best +5 and Shelly's +3 were the only scores that moved their hcp# upward. No team finished plus in any of the FBT categories. Butch wins the CTP and Doc turns 2-pair in the Card Game to give their team 2 events today despite having the worst score of the 4 teams. St. Pat's Day Sunday 3/17

  Happy St Patrick's Day everyone. Today's edition has the final results from Thursday and Friday's rather small turnouts. But first, something new we are trying.  Many of you know today is the day the NCAA Tournament is revealed, and everyone starts filling out their brackets. Well, forget Kentucky and Kansas or Purdue or whoever! The real March Madness will take place at Kimbeland CC. Read on and fill out your bracket. The person who best predicts the outcome of all the matches will get some yet undetermined special prize, fitting the magnitude of such an event. Here are the participants and their region. In the Allen Hill Regional, Allen himself will square off with Randy. The winner will face the survivor of the Glen vs. KZ matchup. In the Andy McIntosh Regional, Doc and Jeff will meet, with the winner playing either Raymond or Leroy for the regional final. The Bud Marshall Regional has Scott and Roger facing off with the winner going up against the Bob vs. Tom match. T
