Sunday September 8
Tee Times Tuesday Start 9:18
Due to a snag in the tee time process, we begin Tuesday at 9:18 so set your alarms a little earlier. This is a one-time thing, do not be concerned. The rest of the week are normal times. Be ready to go as we only have 4 slots so we need to move it quickly in case we need to slide an extra group in. Please text me if you are running late.
Wednesday Card Game
September temperatures have started cool, but the golf has been hot. All 4 teams shoot plus golf and earn a total of 40 cards for the card game.
Brandon scores 34 points in posting a co-Medalist best +8. Unfortunately for Brandon, his efforts go unrewarded.
Bob is the other co-Medalist. His +8 leads his team to a +7 +8 +15 FBT. Normally these numbers would easily sweep the field, but not on this day. It is good only for a tie on the Back 9.
The last group to come in crushed the hopes of the other teams with a +8 +8 +16 scorecard to earn 2 and a half of those 3 events. Doc's double jump score of an even par 36 points for a +6 was only second best on his team as 'Lucky' Leroy also double jumped with a +7. Jeff's modest +3 was just enough to push them past Bob's team.
Leroy's tee shot on #4 earns an extra card for his tap in birdie. That extra card fills a Jacks over 2's Full House to win the Card Game.
The group celebrated in the usual fashion.
Glen wins his 8th CTP to prevent his team from being shut out.
Rick shows off his new sponsor.
Medalist Thursday
Floyd is today's hot golfer. His birdie on #18 caps off a +7 day that easily wins Medalist Honors. Teammate Randy wins the CTP to give the team a Royal Flush, capturing all 5 of Thursday's events. The third member of the team contributed a -5 but still collected his share of the pot. Let me expound.
We are only three days into the September schedule, but we have an early frontrunner for player of the month.
Floyd and Butch have won 3 CTP's in a row and KZ had his 20-game winning streak. But what do you call three days in a row of winning $15.
I guess you call it 'Lucky'.
