Mother's Day 5/12

 


Happy Mother's Day to everyone. I trust we are all treating the mothers in our lives like the queens they deserve to be treated. Hard to believe my own has been gone 41 years, but the 27 I lived with her are still as vivid as can be.

Today might be Mother's Day, but Friday was certainly Mudder's Day. A seven-day layoff for BB's as our course was recovering from the deluge of constant rain. Though most of the course was okay, many swings today produced a spray of mud and water. The layoff combined with the conditions made plus golf a challenge.

Tom's Medalist best +5 and Shelly's +3 were the only scores that moved their hcp# upward. No team finished plus in any of the FBT categories.

Butch wins the CTP and Doc turns 2-pair in the Card Game to give their team 2 events today despite having the worst score of the 4 teams.

Match Play Champion Crowned

Also on Friday, the much-anticipated final of the first ever BB's Match Play Championship was completed.


Clint and Doc squared off for the honor of being the first ever 'BB's Match Play Champion. Though he was not picked by anyone to win the tourney, underdog Doc completes his magical journey of 4 consecutive victories to claim the crown and all the riches that come with the title. Clint wins the consolation of being the 'First Loser' of a championship final.

Raymond wins the Bracket Challenge by having the most correct picks.

    Mother's day is special I was able to have mine for 100 years and 6 months I thank God for her. God bless all Mother's Clint

 Bud's Boys Count Your Blessings Issue Everyday should be a 'CYB' day but some days you realize it a little more. More on that later. Halloween is coming soon, and we have the Coors golfer haunting our course. Friday Rabbit Chase The greens were fast and furious once more and the total group score of minus 24 reflected as much. Kudos to Doc (+4) and Dean (+3) for shooting on the plus side of their handicap numbers in the tough conditions. Special shout out to Glen and Butch for breaking their streaks of minus golf with a +3 for Butch and a Medalist best +5 for Glen. Butch jarred his birdie putt on hole #9 to catch the Rabbit. Glen wins his 3rd CTP of October.
