St. Pat's Day Sunday 3/17

Happy St Patrick's Day everyone. Today's edition has the final results from Thursday and Friday's rather small turnouts. But first, something new we are trying.

Many of you know today is the day the NCAA Tournament is revealed, and everyone starts filling out their brackets. Well, forget Kentucky and Kansas or Purdue or whoever! The real March Madness will take place at Kimbeland CC. Read on and fill out your bracket. The person who best predicts the outcome of all the matches will get some yet undetermined special prize, fitting the magnitude of such an event.

Here are the participants and their region.

In the Allen Hill Regional, Allen himself will square off with Randy. The winner will face the survivor of the Glen vs. KZ matchup.

In the Andy McIntosh Regional, Doc and Jeff will meet, with the winner playing either Raymond or Leroy for the regional final.

The Bud Marshall Regional has Scott and Roger facing off with the winner going up against the Bob vs. Tom match.

The Norm Hayden Regional has Rick vs. Butch taking on the winner of Clint vs. Dean.

The number before each name is the handicap number to be used throughout the tourney. Regular play will be the same as usual. This will not change anything other than the 2 opponents will play in the same group.

Like the NCAA big dance, our tourney will start THURSDAY, giving everyone time to fill out a bracket. I will pass some out Monday and Tuesday, or you can make your own. They need to be turned in before Thursday play. Try to have some fun with this, anyone may fill one out, not just the players.

Thursday March 14

For the second time in a two-week span, a team sweeps all 5 events. KZ, who was a member of that team also, shares Medalist honors (+4) with Leroy on Medalist Thursday. They easily win the FBT and Scott finishes the sweep by winning the CTP. Scott earns the coveted 'Bud's Boys Golden Recliner Award'. He sits back and watches his team sweep all 5 events while his number actually goes down. That's a perfect day in BB's world.

Doc's team didn't win, but he went home with a consolation prize.

Friday March 15

Only 7 BB's played on a raw and chilly day. Roger Medals with a +7, his 2nd consecutive +7 that makes him the favorite of the Match Play tourney. Doc wins CTP, making him the only multiple winner in March, to prevent the sweep.
