Another well attended lunch on Wednesday. As you can see in the 2nd photo, Stan joined us and shared the good news that he paid his membership and will be back with the group in 2024.

It has been 17 days (feels even longer) since our last game. The good news is that it seems certain we will play this week. The day the course opens has been up for debate the last few days.

Super optimistic Doc has hoped for a Monday start (wouldn't bet the house). Not so optimistic Dean's first choice was Thursday.

The secret committee sent Raymond out this morning on a secret scouting mission at the club. After he walked the entire course and considered all the relevant factors, he has predicted a Tuesday game. Dean has countered with a Wednesday cart path only opening.

Regardless of the day, it is time to clean the clubs, make some swings, and in Leroy's case, read those last few articles on game improvement because we will have golf this week!

Westy has let us know that he has 3 Aces while Stan and Mikey have each claimed 1.

  Happy St Patrick's Day everyone. Today's edition has the final results from Thursday and Friday's rather small turnouts. But first, something new we are trying.  Many of you know today is the day the NCAA Tournament is revealed, and everyone starts filling out their brackets. Mother's Day 5/12

  Happy Mother's Day to everyone. I trust we are all treating the mothers in our lives like the queens they deserve to be treated. Hard to believe my own has been gone 41 years, but the 27 I lived with her are still as vivid as can be. Today might be Mother's Day, but Friday was certainly Mudder's Day. A seven-day layoff for BB's as our course was recovering from the deluge of constant rain. Though most of the course was okay, many swings today produced a spray of mud and water. The layoff combined with the conditions made plus golf a challenge. Tom's Medalist best +5 and Shelly's +3 were the only scores that moved their hcp# upward. No team finished plus in any of the FBT categories. Butch wins the CTP and Doc turns 2-pair in the Card Game to give their team 2 events today despite having the worst score of the 4 teams. Champion Golfer of the Year Raymond had to be on his game to win, as there were several great rounds turned in over the two days of play. Let's start at the beginning as we go step by step through the stages of the tournament. Thursday, Day 1 Twenty-four Bud's Boys teed off in hopes of taking home the big trophy. The weather was 40 degrees warmer than day 1 last year. The scores reflected the great conditions as half the field finished in the plus column. Butch leads at +7, 1-up on Raymond, Clint, and Floyd.
