Bud's Boys 2024 Season in Full Swing

The first week of 2024 is in the books as 16 Bud's Boys

(Saw Bud this weekend. He is growing sideburns to celebrate his recent 80th birthday.)

participated in the 4 days played. Rough and raw conditions held the numbers down on 3 days but couldn't keep the boys from getting their golf itch scratched. Wednesday brought out a week high of 14 to take advantage of a very pleasant January morning and afternoon.

Roger and Glen made it to all 4 sessions with several making 3 appearances.

Butch takes the early money lead by winning $26 in his 3 days of play. Speaking of Butch, he would like you to remind him to close his truck door.

You never know who might look inside. Also, if he takes off his jacket during the round, remind him where he left it.

Thursday Results

I will continue to recognize the Medalist after each day of play. However, since Thursday is 'Medalist Day' and you actually get paid for it, you will be the 'Medali$t'. Another stat to track.

Nine players teed off but before the first swing we had our first trade of the season. Scott traded away Butch for Jeff in hopes Jeff could vie for Medali$t honors. He played well but not well enough. Butch, on the other hand, flourished with his new team and they won the Front and Total.

Butch gives congrats to Glen on his near eagle on 7.

Randy wins the inaugural Medali$t with the help of 5 Back 9 birdies. He also claims his first CTP of 2024.

Friday Results

Raymond takes advantage of his cold weather play experience to blitz the field. He wins Medalist by 7 strokes on a chilly Friday leading the 'Perryville Gang' to 4 of 5 victories.

Jeff wins CTP to prevent the complete sweep.
