We have Thursday and Friday results along with a last-minute gift idea from Floyd among today's items.


But we will start by turning the writing duties over to Doc. He is traveling for the holidays this year,


 

and has taken the time to pen his version of 'Twas The Night Before Christmas'.

Fireball Update

Our group has certainly gone through our share of Fireball over the years so I thought you might enjoy this news bit.


Seems that when Fireball heard this young lady really enjoyed a nip of their cinnamon whiskey, they sent her 105 shooters for her 105th birthday.
She could play in my group anytime.

Thursday Results

Any controversy over Raymond's attempt for three CTP's in a row was squashed when Glen stuck his tee shot on 18 to mere inches. Though Raymond came through with a well struck shot, adrenalin carried it a few feet past the pin. 

A second straight day of a 3-way split of the FBT gives every team a piece of today's prize money.

Allen's +5 on Medalist Day gives his team 2 events making them the big winners.



Friday Results

All 3 teams got some money back on the final round before Christmas.

Birdies by Butch, John, and 2 by Gary wins the Rabbit.

John also takes CTP and ties Glen for today's Medalist honors (+2).

  Happy St Patrick's Day everyone. Today's edition has the final results from Thursday and Friday's rather small turnouts. But first, something new we are trying.  Many of you know today is the day the NCAA Tournament is revealed, and everyone starts filling out their brackets. Mother's Day 5/12

  Happy Mother's Day to everyone. I trust we are all treating the mothers in our lives like the queens they deserve to be treated. Hard to believe my own has been gone 41 years, but the 27 I lived with her are still as vivid as can be. Today might be Mother's Day, but Friday was certainly Mudder's Day. A seven-day layoff for BB's as our course was recovering from the deluge of constant rain. Though most of the course was okay, many swings today produced a spray of mud and water. The layoff combined with the conditions made plus golf a challenge. Tom's Medalist best +5 and Shelly's +3 were the only scores that moved their hcp# upward. No team finished plus in any of the FBT categories. Butch wins the CTP and Doc turns 2-pair in the Card Game to give their team 2 events today despite having the worst score of the 4 teams. Champion Golfer Full Coverage

Champion Golfer of the Year Raymond had to be on his game to win, as there were several great rounds turned in over the two days of play. Let's start at the beginning as we go step by step through the stages of the tournament. Thursday, Day 1 Twenty-four Bud's Boys teed off in hopes of taking home the big trophy. The weather was 40 degrees warmer than day 1 last year. The scores reflected the great conditions as half the field finished in the plus column. Butch leads at +7, 1-up on Raymond, Clint, and Floyd.
