Wednesday Card Game

A turnout of 16, our biggest in a couple of weeks, competed in the best weather conditions of late. Action was positive and very tight as usual.

Big shout out to Shelly and Raymond for their co-Medalist rounds of +6. Despite their heroic efforts, neither could pull their team to victory in the FBT contests.

Those wins were claimed by Rick, Clint, and Jeff on the Front and Allen, Dean, and Bob on the Back and Total. All six finished even or better for the round.

Allen also earns the CTP, giving his team 3 of the 5 events.

Card game goes to Raymond, Randy, Doc, and Gary who came up with 2 pair (Aces & Jacks) from their 9 earned cards.

BB's Historian Leroy says we had a new record set today. After a birdie on his first hole and a +2.5 11-point performance on the Front, KZ stumbled a tad on the Back 9. A clutch putt on 18 for bogey upped his point total on the back to, let's double check here, okay, yes, 1 point. This breaks the record Leroy claims was his at 2 points from many moons ago.

What is rather cool about this is KZ's attitude after the round. In true Bud's Boys spirit, he says he is eager to return tomorrow to either play better or beat his new record. He knows participation is the main objective.

Sad news from Florida reported by Floyd today. Seems his golf group had to start out in frigid temperatures of 57 degrees. Sock caps and jackets were necessary. I believe a coat drive by BB's to send to Florida would be a nice charitable gesture.
