Week In Review

Kimbeland Senior Club Championship

The Boy's came through big with 3 Club Champions, 2 runner-up's, and a 3rd place finish in the 2-day tourney.

Tom, Gary, and Gerald all won their flights going away.

Tom takes first place in Super Senior Championship Flight with a 2-day total of 2 under par 140.

Gary wins first in Super Senior 'A' Flight.

Gerald takes first place in Senior 'B' Flight. (Scores no longer posted on Kimbeland website as I type this.)

Raymond shoots even par on 2nd day to take 2nd place in Senior 'A' Flight.

Randy takes 2nd and Glen 3rd behind Tom to give the Boy's a 1,2,3 sweep in the Super Senior Championship Flight.

Jaycee 2-Man Senior Open

Bob and Glen team up to take 2nd place in the Championship Division, 1 stroke behind the winners.

Dailey Play

Doc is in Arizona for a few 'warm' days so we will feature assistant photographer Leroy for pics on Wednesday and Thursday.

Tuesday

Results were posted Tuesday, here are highlights.

Raymond gets within 1 of the CTP lead with another today.

Rodney is Medalist (+4) as 1 of only 4 players to finish plus on the day. Scott (+3), Raymond (+2), and Leroy (+1) are the others.

Wednesday

Large field of 21 sets up a match amongst 7 3-person teams.

Butch continues his winning ways, taking another CTP.

Roger blows away the field, winning Medalist (+8) by 5 over nearest competitor. He leads Scott and Glen to victories on Front, Total, and the Card Game.

Is Jeff using an illegal swing aid on his wrist?

Thursday

Brandon and Gerald show more than one way to warm up on the first tee. Brandon stretches his back and legs while Gerald takes a last drag on his cigarette.

Tom points out exactly where club should meet ball.

The round begins.

Today was Medalist Thursday but we had an extra game to celebrate Bob's 77th birthday (Saturday). Since course was closed Friday, we added a rabbit game today, graciously sponsored by Bob (a Bobbit?).

Rodney, Rodney, Rodney!

Despite a terrible (his words) putting round, Rodney still managed to win Thursday Medalist (+4) by 2 over Brandon and Roger. He became so frustrated after a 3-putt on 10 that when Jeff requested he pull the pin, Rodney responded, "Maybe I should just (insert phrase I believe is anatomically impossible) with the pin!"

Rodney recovered his composure enough to finish strong, earning his team the CTP with a dandy shot to a deep blue pin placement on 18.

As if the Medalist and CTP were not enough, whose birdie on #8 do you think clinched the Rabbit? Yes, a nice approach to about 5 feet and following birdie putt gives Rodney's team 4 and a 1/2 of today's 6 events. Almost not enough room on the stat sheet to list his accomplishments!

Solid play from Roger, Tom, Leroy, and Kieth prevent the sweep.

Bud's Boys Constitution

Doc, channeling his inner James Madison, has drafted a Bud's Boys Constitution. We thank him for his effort to remind the group of our goals and our 'group always comes first' attitude.

Of course, any amendments will be considered by the Secret Committee.
