Bud's Boys Weekend News & Report

This is what Bud's Boys is all about.

Relaxing after another great round with our beautiful course in the background. Nice Pic, Doc.

BB's News

Let's keep Bill in our thoughts as he is dealing with some health issues. Doc is keeping abreast of the situation.

Upcoming BB's Activity

Looks like we will begin Bingo III sometime this month, as soon as we have 18 signed up. Let me know if you want in.

October will be the big 'Champion Golfer of the Year' tournament, so I am thinking of a September event to bridge the gap between those 2 events.

Perhaps a Ryder Cup type event to coincide with the real one being contested next month in Italy. Any thoughts or ideas will be strongly considered by the secret activity committee.

Thursday Play

After yet another rainout Wednesday, 15 BB's clocked in for work on a cart path only day. A Thursday edition of Wacky Weds. produced just that, a very wacky card game. All 52 cards were earned by the 5 teams, ensuring that a big hand would be needed to win.

Sure enough, Floyd turned an Ace on his last of his 13 cards to outlast 2 Flushes and a smaller Full-House with a Kings over Aces Full-House for Doc, Raymond, and himself.

Allen, Leroy, and John score a big majority of their points today on the Front, winning with a +8.

Butch caps a big Back 9 with the CTP on 18 (last player to hit, of course). His score along with Randy's Medalist +8 and Bob's +3 win Back and Total gives them 3 of the 5 events.

Randy shoots his age for the first time (67) beating Andy's prediction by 11 years.

Bud's Boys Etiquette Suggestions

1. No hand holding on the tee box. Some consider it distracting!

2. When someone passes wind, no need to embarrass him by pointing  him out. People will know when to move away.

3. Be a good sport when paying off your side-bets. Poor sportsmanship is a bad look.

Friday Results

Rick wins the CTP (2nd last player this time) by nearly holing the first Ace of his career. A crisp iron past the hole that spun back, just missing the cup.

Allen, Clint, and Butch win the Front by a mere 1/2 point. Is every little putt important or what?

Tom, Randy, and Doc take the Back and Total with the help of hole 16. Tom hits in tight for a tap in birdie and Randy holes his wedge from about 90 yds for a 5-point eagle.
