July Review, Weds-Thurs Results, and Happy Birthday Leroy!!!!! Today (Saturday) is indeed the 75th BD of our beloved Sargent at Arms, rules arbiter, and keeper of the peace. Thanks again for his generosity on Weds. (details below) when he hosted an early BD celebration. Reach out to him today if you can or better yet, drop off his gift. Just leave the beer at the door, he will pick it up later. He has already received wishes from fellow yellow golfers. Wednesday July 26 Leroy surprised the gang with cooly towels for everyone and post round drinks and food to celebrate his upcoming 75th on Saturday. On the course, Doc's Medal best +7 and Tom's 38 points (eagle on 3) dominated team play as they won the Front by 9.5 points and the Total 11 points clear of their closest pursuer. Raymond's CTP, plus team victories on the Back and in the Card Game, make his team the Money Hogs of the day. Thursday July 27 Extreme heat kept several away, leaving 10 BB's to compete on a Rabbit

Tuesday Play Last week of July promises to be a hot one. Scores not so much, at least for the day. Only one team finished the day on the plus side. Bob edges teammate Glen to win Medalist (+5 vs +4), their team takes Back and Total. Rick and Westy combine for +5.5 on Front, leading team to that victory. Teammate Tom claims CTP giving team half the pot. Doc Reports a Norm Sighting Norm and Elaine run into Doc at local eatery.

Washed Out Week! At first, I thought the 'Eurhythmics' single 'Here Comes the Rain Again' was an appropriate way to describe the past week. On second thought, 'Rainy Days AND MONDAYS  Always Bring Me Down' by the Carpenters fits our group even better. Three straight nights (Tues, Weds, Thurs) Scott sent me the same text while I was lost in east Tennessee. "No results today, rained out."  Here are some pics from Raymond and Jeff. I can't remember the last time we lost 3 straight days to rain in July, but I hope it was for the best. There was golf played Weds at Gatlinburg golf course by Shelly and me. To say the least, it was a 'hilly' venue. Leroy claims to have found this picture of me on vacation.... but everyone knows I wouldn't wear such plain looking shorts. A couple random thoughts from being away for a week. Every business in the area we were staying either had 'Bear' in the name or a picture of one on their advertising.

Results from Tues, Weds, Thurs. Our staff photographer is in Canada for several days, but he has sent a few pics from his travels so far. So, until Doc's return, we will have fewer shots of the group. Send more of your vacation please, however. Tues 7/11 A 4 on 4 match on Slurpee Day ended with 1-dollar changing hands. Rodney is Medalist for the day, his +6 edging Raymond and Mikey by 1. Clint takes CTP on #18. Rodney and Raymond have 18-point Fronts, Bob tallies 18 on the Back. Weds 7/12 Two teams evenly split the winnings today. Brandon's Medalist +5, along with Bob (+3) and Allen (+1), tie the Front and take Back and Total outright, to win 2 and a half of the 5 events. Tom's 38 points (6 birdies) were tops for the day, but it was his CTP that mattered most. His team also took the card game with two-pair. Bob totals 19 points on his final 9 holes. Thurs 7/13 Killer Bees Brian and Brandon dominated play today, going 1-2 in the Medalist race. Brian's +5 along with Brand

7/6, 7/7 Wrap up- Pictures from Butch Fest Finally getting around to posting results from last Thursday and Friday. But first, we have to start out with some words about the Saturday night gathering. Here are some of my personal thoughts on the evening. Butch and Linda have an incredible home and backyard layout. They were incredibly gracious and generous hosts. Really enjoyed meeting some of his family who were attending. A great idea to invite the spouses, many I hadn't met before. (Just a coincidence that Bud's Boys seemed better behaved, I'm sure.) Many thanks to our fish provider, Floyd, and the fish fryers, Tom and Floyd. The fish and the side dishes brought by the group left no one hungry.  A really special evening weatherwise and otherwise.  (The workout equipment in above picture explains why Butch maintains his physique and hits the ball so far.) Thursday 7/6 For some reason, Thursday seemed to lack any excitement in scoring. Every team finished minus, minus, minu
