June Play Begins, Week 1 of Bingo II, and May Review in Today's Post

May Review

We managed to play 17 days this month. A total of 31 different golfers joined the group to complete 253 rounds of BB's competition, an average of about 15 per day.

Glen was the only 3-time CTP winner for the month, likewise Scott and Keith were the only 3-time Medalists.

Jeff and Clint were the Money-Hogs for May with Bob very close to the trough himself.

They should show some consideration to Floyd and Roger, who had a bad stretch of luck despite some good play.

Thursday June 1

Raymond took advantage of his bingo-bagging number to win Medalist with +8. Teammate Marty chipped in with a +5 to give them a FBT sweep.

Glen earns first CTP of the month to cap off a 1-under par 70 and game high 37 points.

Friday June 2

A third straight day of 14 participants turned out for a Rabbit chasing Friday.

Scott was one of three players to tie for Medalist at +5, and he led his team to a very good FBT score. Unfortunately for him, the other 2 Medalists were on the same team.

Roger and Jeff's +5's were enough to edge out team Scotty for a FBT sweep. Jeff's CTP gives the team a 4th cut of today's pot, leaving only the Rabbit to be resolved.

The team of Glen, Floyd, and Bob were certainly the favorites with birdies on 5 consecutive holes, 9-13. If only the Rabbit carried over to the back, they felt pretty confident with their chances.

Sure enough, Bob's birdie on 9 pushed the Rabbit to extra holes. But much to their chagrin, each of their birdies on the next 4 holes were matched, sending the Rabbit all the way to hole 15 where team Scotty got some consolation from being edged out earlier, taking the last piece of the pot.

Bingo II Update

Our first Bingo took 6 weeks to complete (21 actual playing days). The holes completed after 4 days in that one were 10, 9, and 8.

Bingo II just completed the first week and after 4 days the holes completed are 14, 12, and 9. Scoring conditions are certainly better now with the extra roll out on drives allowing shorter shots to the green. Will be interesting to see how soon someone closes the deal.
