Friday Results Plus Week Review

How do I describe the Tuesday through Friday weather? Let me start by saying that I doubt we will have 4 days in a row that perfect, pleasant, nice, enjoyable or whatever other adjective you can throw in, for the rest of the year. Sunny comfortable 70's all week. (Ironically, it is a blustery, cloudy 40 something degrees outside as I write this.) Very much hope I am wrong about that. Sorry that Scott and Raymond were out of town and missed the fun.

No coincidence the good weather resulted in the biggest turn out for one week. We averaged right about 20 per day with 29 different individuals filling those spots. First time this year appearances of Floyd and Brian plus a first ever start for Shane B, Gerald's son.

The excellent conditions certainly raised the point totals for the week. Taking most advantage were Bill, Glen, KZ, Doc, Mikey, and Bob who all saw their number go up 2 or better.

Fun Five-dollar Friday Birthday Celebration

For one day, we were not Bud's Boys but instead were 'Butch's Boys'!

Everyone wore green to signify all the 'green' Butch has won this year. Butch purposely wore red, the color of his ledger after the today's festivities.


Butch provided sleeves of golf balls for the CTP's on all the par 3's, for the Medalist, and in an attempt to include everyone, for the last place team. Chicken wings of all varieties and an open bar tab greeted the players at the completion of the round. 


Butch wanted to show his appreciation for how we have accepted him into our group. I feel I can speak for the group in saying that it goes both ways, Butch has been a great addition to our merry band.


In fact, to show our appreciation, Leroy has decreed that no one can pick on Butch for a full year, starting in 2030.

On the golf course, lots of good golf shooting.

KZ and Bill tie for Medalist at +5. Good showings at +4 for Doc, Butch and Glen, +3's for Brian and Bob.

CTP's at 4 and 8 for KZ, 6 and the important team 18 for Doc.



Birdies by Doc at 6, Leroy on 7, and Shelly on 9 snare the Rabbit.

Jeff, John, Bob, and Marty claim the booby prize (and 4 sleeves of balls from Butch) for last place with a still respectable Even Par.

An absolute great finish to a great week of golf. Thanks again Butch, and Happy Birthday.








Bingo Update

Each team took down 1 more. Only 4,5,7 holes left for the 3 teams.

  Happy St Patrick's Day everyone. Today's edition has the final results from Thursday and Friday's rather small turnouts. But first, something new we are trying.  Many of you know today is the day the NCAA Tournament is revealed, and everyone starts filling out their brackets. Mother's Day 5/12

  Happy Mother's Day to everyone. I trust we are all treating the mothers in our lives like the queens they deserve to be treated. Hard to believe my own has been gone 41 years, but the 27 I lived with her are still as vivid as can be. Today might be Mother's Day, but Friday was certainly Mudder's Day. A seven-day layoff for BB's as our course was recovering from the deluge of constant rain. Though most of the course was okay, many swings today produced a spray of mud and water. The layoff combined with the conditions made plus golf a challenge. Tom's Medalist best +5 and Shelly's +3 were the only scores that moved their hcp# upward. No team finished plus in any of the FBT categories. Butch wins the CTP and Doc turns 2-pair in the Card Game to give their team 2 events today despite having the worst score of the 4 teams. Champion Golfer Full Coverage

Champion Golfer of the Year Raymond had to be on his game to win, as there were several great rounds turned in over the two days of play. Let's start at the beginning as we go step by step through the stages of the tournament. Thursday, Day 1 Twenty-four Bud's Boys teed off in hopes of taking home the big trophy.
