 Week In Review-Photo Gallery Edition

Busy week left little time for blogging so I will add some details for the past week. Also have many pictures submitted by readers to share.

Monday

The closing of our home course on Monday did not deter 4 BB's from taking advantage of some great weather and getting 18 holes in at the Jaycee Course.


Mikey likes a challenge!



The foursome had a good day and encouraged the rest of us to consider this option for upcoming Mondays.

Tuesday

Extremely windy conditions greeted 18 players on the first day of our Birdie Bingo. Course maintenance on the back 9 limited us to 2 trips across the front.

Tom wasted no time, putting his Bingo team on the board with an eagle on the very first hole of competition. He also ignored the tough winds on the way to 34 points and a +4 Medalist win.

Doc takes CTP, contested on Hole 6 today.

Thursday

Wednesday was washed out by rain resulting in only 11 BB's clocking in Thursday on a cart path only day.

Statistical oddity of the day, not a single player saw his number drop as all 11 played within their required number or better. This led to the just as rare all teams tie for Total at +4.

Mikey wins another Medal at +4, Randy takes CTP.

Quote of the Week

The best line comes from Rick when asked how his team fared on the day.

"We had enough beagles (double-bogeys) to catch the rabbit and enough sticks (bogeys) to cook it.

Second place comes from Floyd (still in Florida at the time). He sent us a text bragging about his weather forecast down south and I returned the following response. You can read his answer below.

Friday

A total of 13 for a Friday 'Easter Rabbit' competition.

Randy, Glen, and Butch shoot an unlikely Even Even Even to claim the Front and Rabbit.

Jeff, as it so often happens, wins CTP on the last shot of the day (the last shot, not Jeff). His team also take Back and Total.

New Years News Bits- Opening Day 2025 We have coverage of the first two days of the new 2025 season along with a look back at 2024. Plenty of pictures from several different contributors of the winter storm to pass your time. Maybe we should throw in a couple bucks and make your prediction of when the next Bud's Boys round will be played. It is good to be back up and running with my new computer. The geek salesman assured me this computer will be much faster. Honestly though, I seem to type just as slow as before. Thursday Lunch Proposal How about we meet again this Thursday (11:00) if there is no golf. We had a good turnout this past week and I propose we do it again this Thursday.  Bud's Boys Count Your Blessings Issue Everyday should be a 'CYB' day but some days you realize it a little more. More on that later. Halloween is coming soon, and we have the Coors golfer haunting our course. Friday Rabbit Chase The greens were fast and furious once more and the total group score of minus 24 reflected as much. Kudos to Doc (+4) and Dean (+3) for shooting on the plus side of their handicap numbers in the tough conditions. Special shout out to Glen and Butch for breaking their streaks of minus golf with a +3 for Butch and a Medalist best +5 for Glen. Butch jarred his birdie putt on hole #9 to catch the Rabbit. Glen wins his 3rd CTP of October.
