Weekend Edition- Results, March Review and Bingo Teams

BB's News- Are You Interested Playing Monday at Jaycee?

BB's has 2 tee times Monday at JC (9:28, 9:36). Mikey, Doc, and Glen are in, 5 spots available. Let me know if you want in or contact someone in the group to pass on any info.

Thursday

Windy weather returned and the scores suffered as a result. Raymond had his shot at 3 CTP's in a row but fell victim to wrong club selection in the ever-changing wind conditions.

Plus shooters were at a premium as our Tri-Medalists Mikey, Jeff, and Glen posted modest +2's. Interestingly, none of their teams figured in the FBT. Tom, Gerald, Brandon, and Scott won by pretty much shooting their numbers to finish +1, taking Back and Total.

Bill wins his first CTP of the year to end his day on a high note. His teammate Glen's birdie on 14 catches another long running Rabbit, giving their team 2 of the 5 events.

Friday

This is not an April Fool's joke but 7 BB's did finish 18 holes on Friday. I have not talked to any participants yet, but I understand rain and lightning played a part in the proceedings.




Raymond leads the charge for what I consider a straight flush rather than Royal as they only had to sweep a 3-man team to win all 5 events.

He shoots a +9 33 (both top marks on the day) and takes his 4th CTP in the last 8 times we have played.

Glen and Raymond cover 7 holes with birdies in a tune up for next week's Bingo, making their team a heavy favorite, if not just heavy. That easily wins them the Rabbit.

The Strange Case of Raymond and ?

In my younger school days, we all knew of the story 'Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde'. Two totally different personalities, same person. Does Raymond have an evil twin who shows up and plays when Raymond is gone? Here are his last 6 scores, 31 23 22 32 22 33. Three great scores and three not so good (for Raymond) but no score between 23 and 31. Hmmmm, what's up with that?

March Review

We played an amazing 19 times in March, although a couple of those were days only for the daring, with a total of 28 different players.

Scott played all 19 with Tom, Randy, and Mikey showed 17 times.

Raymond wins 5 March CTP's and ties Scott for most Medals with 4.

Shelly pulled a 'Butch' on us, winning the most money while only playing 5 times.

Bingo Time

Teams are set for Bingo, starting next week. 

Team 1- Glen, Mikey, Raymond, Scott, Leroy, and Bill

Team 2- Tom, Rick, Clint, Butch, Roger, and KeyZ

Team 3- Randy, Doc, Jeff, Rodney, Gerald, and Shelly

New Years News Bits- Opening Day 2025 We have coverage of the first two days of the new 2025 season along with a look back at 2024. Plenty of pictures from several different contributors of the winter storm to pass your time. Maybe we should throw in a couple bucks and make your prediction of when the next Bud's Boys round will be played. It is good to be back up and running with my new computer. The geek salesman assured me this computer will be much faster. Honestly though, I seem to type just as slow as before. Thursday Lunch Proposal How about we meet again this Thursday (11:00) if there is no golf. We had a good turnout this past week and I propose we do it again this Thursday.  Bud's Boys Count Your Blessings Issue Everyday should be a 'CYB' day but some days you realize it a little more. More on that later. Halloween is coming soon, and we have the Coors golfer haunting our course. Friday Rabbit Chase The greens were fast and furious once more and the total group score of minus 24 reflected as much. Kudos to Doc (+4) and Dean (+3) for shooting on the plus side of their handicap numbers in the tough conditions. Special shout out to Glen and Butch for breaking their streaks of minus golf with a +3 for Butch and a Medalist best +5 for Glen. Butch jarred his birdie putt on hole #9 to catch the Rabbit.
