Wacky Wednesday

Butch the 'Beast' returned to Kimbeland to stomp on his opponents one more time.



Butch, along with Jeff and Gary, all finished plus on the day with enough points to win the Front and Total. He also tried to collect from Rodney for Birdie Bingo and received this instead of money.



The Back 9 belonged to Shelly, Doc, and Roger with a +7.5, preventing a sweep. Their 6 earned cards won that game also with a pair of 8's.

Clint proudly announces acknowledgement of his first CTP of the season, edging out, who else, Butch.

Bob wins Medalist (+7) and total points (29) to earn a double attaboy from the group.

Course Consideration Tip

Let's try and keep all 4 tires on the path around tee boxes and greens. Some of the ruts are big enough as is and do not need more stress. Let's do our part in protecting the course.

Birdie Bingo Update

I collected $5 from 9 players today for our April 1st team draft. Make sure you sign up in time to be on a team.

Thursday Rain?

Rain chances start about noon tomorrow. I propose we make a 9 hole game as a backup plan and play until the rain hits. Lunch to be served after round.

  Happy St Patrick's Day everyone. Today's edition has the final results from Thursday and Friday's rather small turnouts. But first, something new we are trying.  Many of you know today is the day the NCAA Tournament is revealed, and everyone starts filling out their brackets. Well, forget Kentucky and Kansas or Purdue or whoever! The real March Madness will take place at Kimbeland CC. Read on and fill out your bracket. The person who best predicts the outcome of all the matches will get some yet undetermined special prize, fitting the magnitude of such an event. Here are the participants and their region. In the Allen Hill Regional, Allen himself will square off with Randy. The winner will face the survivor of the Glen vs. KZ matchup. In the Andy McIntosh Regional, Doc and Jeff will meet, with the winner playing either Raymond or Leroy for the regional final. The Bud Marshall Regional has Scott and Roger facing off with the winner going up against the Bob vs. Tom match. T

Mother's Day 5/12

  Happy Mother's Day to everyone. I trust we are all treating the mothers in our lives like the queens they deserve to be treated. Hard to believe my own has been gone 41 years, but the 27 I lived with her are still as vivid as can be. Today might be Mother's Day, but Friday was certainly Mudder's Day. A seven-day layoff for BB's as our course was recovering from the deluge of constant rain. Though most of the course was okay, many swings today produced a spray of mud and water. The layoff combined with the conditions made plus golf a challenge. Tom's Medalist best +5 and Shelly's +3 were the only scores that moved their hcp# upward. No team finished plus in any of the FBT categories. Butch wins the CTP and Doc turns 2-pair in the Card Game to give their team 2 events today despite having the worst score of the 4 teams. Champion Golfer Full Coverage

Champion Golfer of the Year Raymond had to be on his game to win, as there were several great rounds turned in over the two days of play. Let's start at the beginning as we go step by step through the stages of the tournament. Thursday, Day 1 Twenty-four Bud's Boys teed off in hopes of taking home the big trophy. The weather was 40 degrees warmer than day 1 last year. The scores reflected the great conditions as half the field finished in the plus column. Butch leads at +7, 1-up on Raymond, Clint, and Floyd.
