Wacky Wednesday Royal Flush A day that started with a frost delay quickly turned into a wonderful spring morning with full sun high 50's temps and, quite surprisingly, little to no wind. A rarity these days! A prediction of good scoring became a reality with the 16 players combining for a +25 total. Notable scores include Glen's 35 points good for a +6, and Mikey with 30 points and +5. Those scores went for naught, however, when the last foursome finally turned in their scorecard. More time has passed since our last Royal Flush than my memory banks can recall. To refresh our readers of this term, it is when 1 team sweeps all events on our 5-event days. All 4 team members of this winning team, led by Medalist Raymond's +8 and 32 points, finished in the plus column to sweep FBT. Interestingly enough, their +14 final total came about despite zero points on hole 11 when each of them managed to find the water before the hole was complete. They earned enough cards on the par 3&#

Tom reigns as Medalist (+3) and top point getter (32), his team takes Back and Total. Medalist runner-up Gerald (+2) wins Front for his squad. Raymond takes another CTP to soothe his acute case of lackofquartersitis.

Last Monday Until November Results We only had 10 BB's gather today to say farewell to Monday. She is leaving and will not be back until November, if she is strong enough to return. We will certainly miss her, but something tells me she will still be in our thoughts and future conversations. On the course, Big Hitting John medals with a +3 to lead his team to Back and Total. Straight Hitting Tom earns CTP. He is also primed for next week's Bingo start, with 4 birds on the day. Medalist runner-up Rick (+2) plays well enough for his team to win the Front preventing a clean sweep.

Thursday Results, Last Spring Monday, Birdie Bingo Update, "If I Wrote a Golf Book" all in this Weekend Edition The winds calmed down enough today for several of our 14 golfers to post some mighty fine scores. Top of the list goes to our Co-Medalists Rodney and Raymond with their +6's. Great job also Bob, Roger, and KZ at +5 along with Doc at +4. Glen posts a +3 to go with his game high 33 points. Bob's CTP on 18 peeked inside the hole as it finished just inches past the cup. Raymond's 3 birdies on the Front caged the Rabbit to go along with his team's FBT sweep. Jeff goes for the money! Last Monday of Spring Weather looks good for our last chance to play on Monday until fall. To make up for this day as the weather warms up, we will likely start a 'BB's Weekend Edition' next month. It will probably be a limited number of available spots, so we will figure it out as we go. Executive meetings daily after play if you want to be in the loop. Birdie Bin

Windy Wacky Wednesday Play There was an eagle on 18, but no hole-in-one. Windy, Wacky Wednesday resulted in all 3 teams taking at least 1 event. Glen, Scott, and Mikey earn the most cards and it pays off with best hand. Gary ends his team's rough day on a high note with his CTP, besting Uncle Tom. Randy's Medalist +6 and Roger's +4 sweeps FBT.

Teammates Talk Strategy Before Tee Off Five 3-man teams all had high hopes for a big payout on Monday. Most went home disappointed. Scott's Medalist +10 and game high 28 points leads Mikey and Clint to FBT sweep. Raymond's 3rd CTP of the season sends his team home with more money than they started with. Butch had to leave before the payouts so Mikey, Clint, and Scott have a message for him. "Hey Butch, you left something behind!"

St Pat's Results- Birdie Bingo Team Selection Process I'll bet most of you assumed there would not be any action to report Friday, but you would be wrong. A Frosty Fivesome of BB's teed off in an 'every man for himself' match. Tom's high point total of 28 (equaling the wind chill temp) earned him a 1/3 of the Front. Co-Medalists Mikey and Raymond tied Back and Total along with the other 2/3's of the Front. Mikey wins another CTP to earn title of St. Pat's Money Hog. Birdie Bingo Team Selection We have 14 paid entrants with more to come, so here is how the teams will be chosen. Number of players will determine if we have 3, 4, or maybe 5 teams. Regardless of the # of teams, here is the process. 1. The handicap numbers at the end of Friday March 31 will be used to determine teams with play starting Monday (or Tuesday if closed). 2. We start with the highest #'s and fill in the teams in that order using the so-called serpentine system to even the teams

St. Patrick's Eve Edition Interestingly, 13 BB's played the day before the luck o' the Irish holiday. Unlucky for the 4 players in the last group, they only made it to 17 before a downpour forced them to wait it out in their carts till the rain lightened up enough for them to finish, while the other 9 players observed from the dry warmth of the clubhouse. The bad news was that all 4 were thoroughly soaked. The good news is that we found Waldo! It was another spread the wealth day as all 4 teams won something. Glen's Medalist +4 and 34 points leads team to Front and Total. Roger's CTP at least allows the last group to end on a high note. The longest running Rabbit in our history is captured by Leroy's birdie on 17. Another likely record streak was stopped today when Butch's hcp number did not go up. Credit where credit is due, he had moved up the last SIX TIMES HE HAD PLAYED! I doubt that has ever happened before. For the sake of the rest of the group, we hop

How many of us feel qualified (or overqualified?) enough to slap this on our own vehicle! Wacky Wednesday Butch the 'Beast' returned to Kimbeland to stomp on his opponents one more time. Butch, along with Jeff and Gary, all finished plus on the day with enough points to win the Front and Total. He also tried to collect from Rodney for Birdie Bingo and received this instead of money. The Back 9 belonged to Shelly, Doc, and Roger with a +7.5, preventing a sweep. Their 6 earned cards won that game also with a pair of 8's. Clint proudly announces acknowledgement of his first CTP of the season, edging out, who else, Butch. Bob wins Medalist (+7) and total points (29) to earn a double attaboy from the group. Course Consideration Tip Let's try and keep all 4 tires on the path around tee boxes and greens. Some of the ruts are big enough as is and do not need more stress. Let's do our part in protecting the course. Birdie Bingo Update I collected $5 from 9 players today fo
