Friday Results

Friday was our 11th day played in February and with Monday and Tuesday looking probable, this puts us unexpectedly way ahead of last year's pace. Come out and take advantage while we can.

Before we get to Friday's play, how about we take time for a little self-evaluation. Here is the situation to ponder. You have just hit your tee shot on No. 1. In your mind, what did the rest of us just see?

A. Nailed it, that must have looked good.

B. Not bad, I'll take it.

C. I wish I was in the last group, nobody watching.

D. Why do I put myself through this torture?

E. Tomorrow, I will go to the driving range first.

Love to hear your thoughts.

Friday 2/24

We had 8 BB's square off in a 4 on 4 match up on 5-dollar Friday. As on Thursday, only 1 player saw his number go up. Mikey's Medalist +4 bests the +1's of Scott and Keith. These scores allow Mikey and Scott to drag Rick and Randy to wins on the Front and Total, allowing Keith's group to salvage the Back.

Rabbit

Tom's birdie on 5 nullified Rick's bird on 1, and Tom and Scott both birdie 8 sending us into overtime.
Pars by both squads on 10 sent the rabbit to the always 'interesting' No. 11. Scott's clutch par putt seemed to keep his team alive while awaiting team 2 behind.

I seem to remember Mike Shannon once talking about baseball's 'Golden Sombrero'. It was when a batter went 0 for 4 with 4 strikeouts. That, ladies and gentlemen, is what happened to team 2. All 4 struck out on No. 11, 4 zero's, giving Rabbit away.

CTP

Scott gets his first of the season, beating Mikey on a had to measure effort.
