Butch Show Continues

The battle between Butch and Jeff continues with both remaining hot in February. Here is how the last 2 days shook out.

 Monday Results

As the temperature has risen so has our participants, 17 today. The high temps may have been a surprise, but not the 2 Medalists. Jeff and Butch both finish at +8. Shelly's +7 and Mikey's +6 and John's +5 deserve mention.

Bill wins CTP but is just as proud of his near eagle on 12.


Butch and John's effort wins Back and Total plus a tie on the Front with Shelly and Mikey's team.



Tuesday Results

After watching me miss so many short putts Monday, Leroy Presents me with a 'round' golf ball on the first tee to replace my obviously lopsided ball.


It helped tremendously as I increased 1 point today.

Butch is really testing our handicap system by backing up yesterday's +8 with another Medalist best +10. Leroy's +4 was a distant 2nd. Tom has a game high 35 points with a 1-over 73.

Butch even inspired his struggling teammate Dean to end his day on a high note, winning the CTP (and putting more money in Butch's pocket). Their bunch takes Back and Total in very close contests. Leroy's effort edges Butch on the Front.

    Sorry I missed today. Would have been fun to try to defend my CTP. Feeling better and hope to see everyone tomorrow!

    Mr. February? We know Jeff has been at the he golf academy in Florida but I think butch has been hiding behind a log. My vote has to come down to helps me win the most $$$. So far Jeff won me $1 butch $0000..

  Happy Mother's Day to everyone. I trust we are all treating the mothers in our lives like the queens they deserve to be treated. Hard to believe my own has been gone 41 years, but the 27 I lived with her are still as vivid as can be. Today might be Mother's Day, but Friday was certainly Mudder's Day. A seven-day layoff for BB's as our course was recovering from the deluge of constant rain. Though most of the course was okay, many swings today produced a spray of mud and water. The layoff combined with the conditions made plus golf a challenge. Tom's Medalist best +5 and Shelly's +3 were the only scores that moved their hcp# upward. No team finished plus in any of the FBT categories. Butch wins the CTP and Doc turns 2-pair in the Card Game to give their team 2 events today despite having the worst score of the 4 teams. St. Pat's Day Sunday 3/17

  Happy St Patrick's Day everyone. Today's edition has the final results from Thursday and Friday's rather small turnouts. But first, something new we are trying.  Many of you know today is the day the NCAA Tournament is revealed, and everyone starts filling out their brackets. Well, forget Kentucky and Kansas or Purdue or whoever! The real March Madness will take place at Kimbeland CC. Read on and fill out your bracket. The person who best predicts the outcome of all the matches will get some yet undetermined special prize, fitting the magnitude of such an event. Here are the participants and their region. In the Allen Hill Regional, Allen himself will square off with Randy. The winner will face the survivor of the Glen vs. KZ matchup. In the Andy McIntosh Regional, Doc and Jeff will meet, with the winner playing either Raymond or Leroy for the regional final. Champion Golfer Full Coverage

Champion Golfer of the Year Raymond had to be on his game to win, as there were several great rounds turned in over the two days of play. Let's start at the beginning as we go step by step through the stages of the tournament. Thursday, Day 1 Twenty-four Bud's Boys teed off in hopes of taking home the big trophy. The weather was 40 degrees warmer than day 1 last year. The scores reflected the great conditions as half the field finished in the plus column. Butch leads at +7, 1-up on Raymond, Clint, and Floyd.
