Butch Does It!! 2/10

Butch Wins 3rd Straight CTP!

They said it couldn't be done, but Butch has accomplished what many, many before having tried and failed. He has tied Floyd with a 3rd consecutive CTP. Conversation immediately turned to how we handle this new development. Does Floyd still hold the title until its beat? Do we rename this feat to a 'Flutch' or a 'Boyd'? After graciously treating all participants today with a beverage (after all, this is rarer in our group than a hole-in-one) and having a few too many himself, Butch turned serious and weighed in on the subject.

"Come Monday there will be no doubt about the name. We have always had a saying in Perryville, 'We aren't smart enough to (fill in the blank). And I am not smart enough to be too scared or too nervous come Monday. On this Super Bowl weekend, I am going to use Joe Namath's quote from Super Bowl III. I GUARENTEE I will win again on Monday to leave no doubt. Add if Floyd comes up to try and stop me, I will kick his butt back to Florida!"

Mr. February has spoken! He has backed up his words again, at least for Friday. His CTP contributes to his team taking 3 of today's 5 events. His team has now won 11 of the 14 events for February.

We had a total of 9 golfers today as some of our 'softer' players took the day off fearing they might get a little chilly. I have to agree with Mikey who expressed during our post round relaxation that the weather was 'rather balmy'.

One of the 9 picked a good day to make his debut.

Jeff returns from Florida just in time to witness the 'Butch' and get a free beer.

On the course, Scott carried Butch for the first 17 holes with his Medalist best +9. His birdie on 7 catches the Rabbit.

Tom cards 16 pars to go with 1 birdie and 1 bogey for an even par round of 36 points.

Raymond tallies 18 points on the front before the load of his teammates brings him down on the back.

Hole 14 finally yielded a par, but only 1, thanks to Tom.

Fun with numbers unusual fact of the day. Not a single player maintained his hcp number today. Four shot -3 or worse while the rest posted +2 or better. A normal day usually results in about half staying the same.

The forecast of 60-degree weather should bring out a good crowd for Gary's BD. For the 'softer' golfers, bring an extra jacket just in case.

Super Bowl Prediction

Here's wishing everyone a good Super Bowl experience wherever you watch.

Billie Jo has made her prediction. She says the Eagles win by 2 TDs. She has even diagrammed the 2 TDs.
