Reminder that tomorrow is Wacky-Wednesday with more chances to win (or lose). We were off the cart paths today and likely again tomorrow. No reason not to participate. As Leroy says, "You can't win if you don't play!" So come out before the 'Big Chill' hits.

Floyd Alert

Another reason to come out Wednesday is to protect the Floyd. Glen edged out Roger for today's CTP by 3 inches. This gives Glen 2 in a row and sets up his chance tomorrow. Don't make it easy, make him work for it.

Also, for the 2nd straight day we had a team sweep the FBT. Mikey takes Medalist at +6, 1 ahead of teammate Rick. They tie for most points with 31. Although they squeaked by on the Front by a 1/2 point, their dominance on the back should be noted. They win by 12 1/2 points handicap wise, but also have the most total points though they only have 3 players. Their 47 points top the 4-man team totals of 45 and 44.

  Happy Mother's Day to everyone. I trust we are all treating the mothers in our lives like the queens they deserve to be treated. Hard to believe my own has been gone 41 years, but the 27 I lived with her are still as vivid as can be. Today might be Mother's Day, but Friday was certainly Mudder's Day. A seven-day layoff for BB's as our course was recovering from the deluge of constant rain. Though most of the course was okay, many swings today produced a spray of mud and water. The layoff combined with the conditions made plus golf a challenge. Tom's Medalist best +5 and Shelly's +3 were the only scores that moved their hcp# upward. No team finished plus in any of the FBT categories. Butch wins the CTP and Doc turns 2-pair in the Card Game to give their team 2 events today despite having the worst score of the 4 teams. St. Pat's Day Sunday 3/17

  Happy St Patrick's Day everyone. Today's edition has the final results from Thursday and Friday's rather small turnouts. But first, something new we are trying.  Many of you know today is the day the NCAA Tournament is revealed, and everyone starts filling out their brackets. Well, forget Kentucky and Kansas or Purdue or whoever! The real March Madness will take place at Kimbeland CC. Read on and fill out your bracket. The person who best predicts the outcome of all the matches will get some yet undetermined special prize, fitting the magnitude of such an event. Here are the participants and their region. In the Allen Hill Regional, Allen himself will square off with Randy. The winner will face the survivor of the Glen vs. KZ matchup. In the Andy McIntosh Regional, Doc and Jeff will meet, with the winner playing either Raymond or Leroy for the regional final. Champion Golfer of the Year Raymond had to be on his game to win, as there were several great rounds turned in over the two days of play. Let's start at the beginning as we go step by step through the stages of the tournament. Thursday, Day 1 Twenty-four Bud's Boys teed off in hopes of taking home the big trophy. The weather was 40 degrees warmer than day 1 last year. The scores reflected the great conditions as half the field finished in the plus column. Butch leads at +7, 1-up on Raymond, Clint, and Floyd.
