Winter Golf is Here

I am sure milder weather is coming soon, but this past week was tough on BB's participation. Eleven on Monday, five on Tuesday and eight on Friday. Let's give credit to Mikey and Roger on Thursday, and Mikey and Raymond on Friday for representing us on some pretty frigid days.

Wednesday Results

Clint only came to the course to pick up his re-gripped clubs. Seeing that our group had 7, he was conned into joining us for a new edition of Wacky Wednesday. Today's game was Par 3 Poker. Your team received 1 card for each par 3 green hit in regulation. The team with the best poker hand won the extra dollar. The team of Randy, Roger, Scott and Clint managed 9 GIR (2 on 4,6,8, and 3 on 18), earning 9 cards. They won the Front with a -3. The team of Doc, Shelly, Raymond, and Mikey earned 7 cards on their par 3 tee shots. Doc's CTP on 18 evened the match (we only played 10 holes) leaving the luck of the cards to see how the tie was broken. Randy's team turned an Ace for the first of their 9 cards. Would you believe they didn't have to turn another? Doc's team turned over as bad a hand as it gets. No pairs, no straights or flushes. King high was the best hand they had after all 7 cards were shown. I am sure we will have more drama on the next attempt.

Possible Christmas Gift?

Trying to see if we can get BB's Logo on this shirt. Might make us look a little bit more fit.

Tee Times

Mon 11:00

Tues 10:00

Wed 10:00

As I type this, 6 teams have signed up for the 'Black Friday' Tourney. If they want to pay $40 per person to the team whom we already know is going to win, good for them. My hope is not enough sign up to have the tourney and we can have a normal Friday. Will keep you posted.

Content Warning

Although the bar isn't really high on the standards of this blog, I was on the fence about a picture I snapped recently on course. After conferring with some of Wednesday's participants, they agreed to give it a go. Be warned it is in poor taste, some would say bawdy, and totally childish. Scroll down below the handicap numbers if you must. You have been warned.

You have to sing along to the following picture. Remember the old rhyme about sitting in the tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G? Use that as you sing along.

"MIKEY AND RAYMOND STANDING BY THE TREE,
PEE EYE ESS ESS EYE EN GEE
FIRST COMES THE SHAKE
THEN A LITTLE SHUDDER
IS THAT THE SAME GRIP YOU USE WITH YOUR PUTTER?"

For those looking a little too close at the picture, Raymond wants you to know it was very cold that day. Very, very cold.
