Monday Results   Scott, Clint, and Gary agree. Sara's Chili is Number 1! After 18 holes in 'Chili' weather, 15 BB's sat down to an excellent post-round meal of chili, crackers, PB sandwiches, and PB on celery sticks. Thanks to Jeff for providing the main course, his wife Sara's Brazilian Chili. He came up early enough to set up a table with the chili in a crock pot to stay hot while we played, and others added to the spread to make for a perfect ending to the round. Jeff's dessert was egg nog infused with something likely in the alcohol spectrum. We so appreciate the effort they put in, and thank them very, very much. I know for a fact my wife likes the chili I make at home; she requests it often. But I have never seen her go for seconds as fast as she did on Monday. Great job Sara! The reason there aren't photos of the post round meal is because it is hard to take a picture when you have a spoon in one hand and a bowl in the other the entire time. Sorry. On

Happy Thanksgiving Weekend   Results from Mon, Tues, Weds- Picture submissions and more! Much appreciation to those who sent greetings. We hope everyone's get togethers make for a special long weekend. Doc sends a couple pics while he celebrates out east. See you next week Doc. Friendly Reminder- Monday Tee Time is 11:00  Tues through Friday 10:00 Until Further Notice Monday Results Monday conditions proved difficult for all but 2 golfers. Co-Medalists Jeff and Andy were the only plus golfers today with +2 on a day when only 4 total birdies were recorded by the group. Unfortunately for them, their teammates couldn't help them enough to bring victory. The team of Raymond, Clint, and Brian scored just well enough to win FBT with Raymond completing the sweep with a cozy tee shot on 18 for the CTP. Tuesday Poker Day Results Tuesday scoring improved slightly today, led by Medalist Raymond at +4. With the help of Shelly's +3, Raymond caps a second straight day winning FBT and re

Floyd Alert Raymond won his 2nd consecutive CTP this afternoon, setting up a showdown between himself and the giant specter of Floyd. Hopefully the club changes pin placement tomorrow to challenge Raymond as he has the current location measured out extremely well. We need all available Bud's Boys on duty Wednesday to protect the 'Floyd'. Raymond will be slightly hampered by wearing an ankle bracelet tomorrow as he was scheduled to be under house arrest. A favorable ruling by the judge in his district (house) will allow him to play if he meets his bail requirements (vacuuming, cleaning, shopping, etc.). A full run down of Mon., Tues., and Weds. results coming this weekend.

Winter Golf is Here I am sure milder weather is coming soon, but this past week was tough on BB's participation. Eleven on Monday, five on Tuesday and eight on Friday. Let's give credit to Mikey and Roger on Thursday, and Mikey and Raymond on Friday for representing us on some pretty frigid days. Wednesday Results Clint only came to the course to pick up his re-gripped clubs. Seeing that our group had 7, he was conned into joining us for a new edition of Wacky Wednesday. Today's game was Par 3 Poker. Your team received 1 card for each par 3 green hit in regulation. The team with the best poker hand won the extra dollar. The team of Randy, Roger, Scott and Clint managed 9 GIR (2 on 4,6,8, and 3 on 18), earning 9 cards. They won the Front with a -3. The team of Doc, Shelly, Raymond, and Mikey earned 7 cards on their par 3 tee shots. Doc's CTP on 18 evened the match (we only played 10 holes) leaving the luck of the cards to see how the tie was broken. Randy's team tu

Monday Results We had 11 for a cool but sunny Monday that resulted in mostly positive play. All 3 teams were plus on the front. Two teams followed that up with plus sides on the back also. The 3rd team? More on that in a minute. Scott takes Medalist with a +6, directing his team to victory on the front. Other top performances included Shelly +5, Clint and Rick at +3, good enough to take Back and Total (Butch helped also). They pose in front of their 4 drives on 13 (Shelly had to take the picture). Doc wins the CTP to give every team a piece of their money back. Back to the subject of Team 3. They turn in a respectable +3 on the front giving them high hopes for the back 9. My oh my whatever did they drink at the turn to cause a 22-point reversal, while the other teams continued to stay on the plus side. This stunning occurrence has yet to be explained, maybe for the best, but at least they showed a flair for symmetry. Twelve pars. Twelve bogeys, and twelve doubles for a nifty -19. Gol

Weekly Wrap-Up I sincerely hope observances made by our group on Veterans Day met the expectations we desired. Important day. Winter weather hit hard enough Friday that Mikey had to play a few holes by his lonesome. The next 10 days do not look so good as temperatures are expected to stay below 50. Sunshine will make it playable (at least for me) as long as the wind stays moderate. A year ago, November was our most played month due to good weather coupled with open Mondays. Break out the heaters and extra layers 'Boys'! Let's don't slow down now. TEE TIMES Monday 11:00 Tues-Fri 10:00 Weekend Ramblings Received this text from Scott on Saturday. Accompanied by this photo. Not sure where this trophy would sit in your house if you won, but I find this setting hard to beat. I nominate Jack, Evan, and Elijah to become honorary Bud's Boys. Bud's Boys Safety Tip of the Day Do not stand too close to someone taking a practice swing. Jeff apologizes to Rodney for clipping
